The house
Are you ready for real peace and quiet and a wonderful holiday in a still untouched nature?! Welcome to Gite La Grenouille; a holiday home with an official 3-star rating ! We are a child-free accommodation in the northern part of the Dordogne, the Perigord Noir, an area that has a lot to offer for young and old. Gîte La Grenouille is ydyllically situated and attractively and comfortably furnished. It has a garden with sun beds, a cosy terrace, a BBQ and private parking. From the terrace you have a beautiful view, among others towards Chateau Hautefort. The house is equipped with all modern comforts - a fully equipped kitchenette (microwave with grill, fridge/freezer, hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, coffee maker filter and cups, toaster), sitting area with TV (with Dutch channels)/DVD, radio/CD player, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. On the 1st floor are 2 bedrooms - one with a 160 x 200 bed and one with 2 80 x 200 beds. The beds are made on arrival and towels and kitchen towels are provided. Upon arrival, there will of course be something nice waiting for you! Your holiday can begin !

The holiday home adjoins our mini-camping (only 9 places and also child free / Adults Only) so even in high season you have the pool regularly for yourself. You have your own garden with BBQ and sunbeds, terrace and parking space and of course privacy. A combination of privacy and comfort but with the cosiness of a very small campsite in a beautiful setting. Our 'petit paradis' is situated at only 3 km. distance from the cosy town Hautefort where you can find several restaurants and shops. Guests who stay with us find peace, space, comfort, service in an unspoiled nature. The Dordogne is a region known for its diversity of caves and 1001 castles. Cities such as Perigueux, Terrasson, Montignac and Sarlat are definitely worth a visit.

Verblijf in de gite was heerlijk. Wat een fijne en rustige plek. Heerlijk zwembad. Jolanda en Theo zijn perfecte gastheer/vrouw. Omgeving mooi en rustig en toch genoeg mogelijkheden voor wandelen en omliggende stadjes te bezoeken. Top vakantie gehad 👍

Every week, we like to cook for our guests using local (organic) products as much as possible. Come and join us in our cosy bistro or on our attractive terrace! Nice restaurants in the vicinity where you can enjoy the specialities of the Perigord.

There is a 6x12m saltwater swimming pool (depth decreasing from 0.80m to 1.90m) with a 120m2 terrace equipped with loungers, parasols, a comfortable seat and an outdoor shower. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in this beautiful area right from your holiday home in unspoilt nature. (Electric) bikes for rent through a reputable company (delivery and collection service). Canoeing on the various rivers; nearest canoe rental at 5 km. Horse riding and golf just a few kilometres away. Fishing in the Etang du Coucou just 5 km away
