La Pomette

In a small hamlet lies the romantic La Pomette, a typical French holiday home built from beautiful, thick orange-red stone walls. If you want to hide away and still not be too far from the sights, this dream house is a super nice place! The hamlet is centred around the old chateau and is part of the village of Florimont-Gaumiers (181 inhabitants), fifteen minutes from the Dordogne River. By the way, did you know that the Dordogne region is the cleanest in Europe and that there is no light pollution here? You can see thousands of stars at night... super romantic!

La Pomette, built around 1700, is a lovely, charming holiday home in the Dordogne, with three separate bedrooms and a sleeping loft for 4 children, ideal for 8 to 10 people. The adjoining adorable guest cottage is completely self-supporting with kitchen diner, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, allowing 4 more people to stay in La Pomette (so total 14 pers). In the early and late season, the price on the website is based on the maximum number of persons of 6, if you also want to rent the cottage, you pay 200 euros extra (the guest cottage is only available to tenants of La Pomette, so is never rented separately). From the main house, the terraces and the garden you have a breathtaking, panoramic view of dozens of kilometres over the hills. La Pomette, the main house, was created by merging three cottages and covers a total of 250 m2. The grounds are 2 hectares and are very private.

From the downstairs bedrooms (3) you can walk straight to your swimming pool! The charming holiday home is tastefully decorated but simple. Next to the spacious living room with fireplace is the cosy kitchen, equipped with dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious covered and heated terrace, equipped with an outdoor cooker (gas), ideal for cozy outdoor dining together.

La Pomette has 3 bathrooms, 2 with shower and 1 with bath. The 2 toilets are separate. One level down is the swimming pool. There you will also find a covered terrace, a large stone barbecue and the boules court.
