What was once a large domaine has become the holiday home Domaine Maison Rouge, set amid the countryside.
Our holiday home in the Dordogne is dominantly situated in a serene setting on top of a hill with unobstructed views all around. It offers uninterrupted views of the natural beauty of the surroundings. Here, far away from other houses, we imagine ourselves in our own little world, surrounded by the singing of birds and the rustling of the wind.
This little paradise is a place where we can recharge, enjoying family and the simplicity of life.

The house is located in the Dordogne near the border with Corrèze, so it offers the best of both departments at the same time. There is something to do every day in the area, where lazing around the enclosed and heated* pool can also be considered an activity. Enjoy the pool with friends or family or explore the picturesque and hilly surroundings, rich in streams, meadows and forests. The access road, a quiet, fairly flat and dead-end lane, is shared only with the local farmer and appears to be our own private driveway - perfect for a leisurely evening stroll or for the youngest to safely rollerblade and cycle.

The heated* swimming pool of 4m. x 10m. is stylishly fenced and has wide and large steps so even the little ones can play in the water (under supervision). All rooms have fans and mosquito nets, so you can sleep peacefully and listen to the cuckoo and owls as you slowly fall asleep.

The rooms on the 1st floor are 2x2 family rooms. (see floor plan). There are a total of 2 large double beds (160x200), and 3 smaller double beds (doubters, 140x190) and a toddler bed (70x150).
So with 8 people, everyone has their own bed, but up to 11 people can be accommodated when the doubters are used as double beds.
There is also a bathroom on the 1st floor equipped with a bath with jet streams (kind of jacuzzi). On the ground floor is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
This layout and available beds make it a perfect house for two families with children.

In the open-plan kitchen, you won't lack for appliances. After all, we celebrate our holidays here ourselves, so we don't want to miss out. From coffee machine (with beans), dishwasher to toaster. This idyllic, authentic farmhouse, which came our way after a long search, stole our hearts. It offers complete privacy without being remote, with daily amenities such as a bakery and a neighbourhood supermarket just five km away. Your perfect base for an unforgettable holiday.
