The house
Albizia is our adorable detached bungelow named after the beautiful tree from the butterfly flower family. All rooms are air-conditioned/heated. The cottage has a kitchen and living room with seating area. The two bedrooms both have a double bed and a private bathroom including toilet. The covered terrace is equipped with garden furniture.
You can enjoy a heated swimming pool shared with two other gîtes, open from the beginning of May until the end of September (depending on the weather), size 6x12m, depth from 1m to 2.20m, the pool is secured with a fence all around. There is also a table tennis table, jeux de boules court and cosy seating areas.
For the comfort of little ones: cot, bathtub and high chair (on request). Shared laundry room (washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board).
In the village of Carsac-Aillac you will find a butcher, baker, grocer, hairdresser, florist, wine merchant, restaurants, pharmacy, tobacco bar, the post office.
Outside the high season (July - August) you can stay shorter than a week, please contact the owner. Compulsory costs for final cleaning.

Your holiday home is located at the top of the commune of Carssac-Aillac, in the heart of the Perigord Noir triangle, 10 minutes from the village of Sarlat la Caneda.
Not far away are the caves of Lascaux, of the gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour and all kinds of castles to visit. A few minutes' drive from the Dordogne River with many water activities and nice places to go swimming.

The Perigaord is famous for its gastronomy, such as foie gras, nuts and truffles. Close by are the wines of Bergerac.
Activities
Our 'Domaine de Campagnac' is located a few kilometres from the river Dordogne in the commune of Carsac-Aillac. The village of Carsac has a supermarket, drugstore, organic wine shop with the best Bergerac wines and a pizzeria.
Nature in the Dordogne is impressive and the Aquitaine region has a rich history and culture. Sarlat is a picturesque town in the heart of the Dordogne valley and is known for its medieval charm and beautiful architecture. Several festivals are organised during the summer months, such as the Festival des Jeux du Theatre (July and August) and the music festival Les Nuits de Nacre (late June). Taste black truffles, duck breast fillet, strawberries, walnut cake and foie gras from the Périgord at the lively markets in Sarlat, located less than 10 minutes' drive from our domaine.
For a more active holiday: grab a bike and explore the countryside via the Voie Verte - route along disused railway tracks; a canoe trip on the Dordogne or a hot-air balloon ride. Explore the caves at Lascaux or Domme. Visit one of the many castles (Castelnaud, Fénolon, Hautefort, Beynac or Les Milandes), combine it with a walk in the gardens of Eyrignac, Marqueyssac or the garden with water features in Carsac-Aillac.
For little adventurers, the Monkey's Forest in Carsac-Aillac is challenging. Freek Vonk enthusiasts can go on an adventure at Aquarium Perigord Noir.
On site, enjoy the relaxation area with heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna... Here, your stay will be transformed into an invitation to relax and enjoy the many pleasures of the Périgord.
Domaine de Campagnac is a 40-minute drive from Brive; in the mid/high season, KLM/Airfrance flies from Schiphol airport in Brive. The airport in Bergerac is an hour and a half away; Transavia flies to Bergerac from Rotterdam in mid/high season. KLM flies year-round to both Bordeaux (2 hours and 30 minutes) and Toulouse (2 hours and 35 minutes).
