The house
Downstairs: There is a welcoming large beamed open planned living space with woodburner, large corner sofa, TV with satellite, dining area for 6, separate seating area, all connecting to the modern fitted kitchen that boasts all modern facilities needed. There is a downstairs toilet in the cloakroom area.
Upstairs: There are 3 double sized bedrooms, one of which has 2 single beds. All bedrooms have wonderful views of the beautiful countryside that surrounds the property. Off the beamed landing areas is a large family bathroom with large bath and separate shower area.

The cottage is situated in Busserolles (in the Dordogne close to Charante border). The property is positioned surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside boasting wildlife and fantastic views in all directions. The cottage is 45 minutes from Limoges airport and 1hr 55 minutes from Bergerac airport. It is a 5 and half hour drive from the ferry port at Caen.

Wat een mooie plek is dit! Geweldig die stilte en bijzonder dat je s avonds rondom helemaal in het donker zit buiten. Wij hebben met 4 (volwassen) kinderen en 2 volwassenen een geweldige vakantie hier gehad en raden het iedereen aan die de woorden rust, ruimte, privacy aanspreekt. Eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het is super leuk dat je van alles kan gebruiken zoals goede fietsen, volleybal, etc etc. Aanrader!

Our family (2 adults, 3 kids) had a great time!! The house is marvellous, well equiped and overall standard is excellent. The kids couldn't get enough of all the games they could play in the garden. In the area there are all sorts of activities you can undertake. Last but certainly not least, the owners are very friendly and they did there utmost to make our stay as pleasant as they possibly could. We definitely enjoyed the fishing at the pon in the garden, where Paul taught our boys a few tricks and in the meanwhile we had great conversations with Tracy (and Paul of course). So thank you guys and probably the best compliment came from our boys.... when can we stay there again........ :-)

Alles klopt bij deze locatie. Wij hebben genoten van de rust, natuur, het zwembad, de tuin, de speelruimte. Kortom een ideale vakantie voor ons gezin met 4 kinderen (leeftijd van 3 tot 15 jaar). In de omgeving is voldoende te doen, voor sommige dingen moet je iets verder rijden.
Ook de gastvrijheid en behulpzaamheid van de eigenaren is fantastisch, zonder dat je je privacy verliest!
Wij kunnen deze locatie iedereen aanbevelen. In werkelijkheid is alles nog mooier en ruimer dan de foto's doen vermoeden.
Restaurants, food & wine
There are numerous restaurants/bistros/bars in the surrounding villages and towns within driving distance. The nearest is in the village of Busserolles (Bistro le vieux puits), which has a very good local reputation. We are happy to supply recommendations for other restaurants in the surrounding areas.
Activities
There is a newly installed heated swimming pool, beautifully positioned looking down onto the fishing lake. (Please note: pool is open from May to September (April to October weather dependent).
The main garden is approximately 6 acres and boasts a beautiful 1 acre private fishing lake, The lake is stocked with Carp (up to 44lb), Tench, Roach, Perch, Pike and Zander. We have a large selection of high quality fishing equipment for guests to use.
Golf International La Preze is only 15 mins away from the property and we have 4 good quality sets of golf clubs for guests to use (golf balls not supplied).
We have a large games room that is separate to the cottage - it has a full sized pool table and table football and a darts board. There is also some gym/keep fit equipment available to use.
To the rear of the property there is a spacious covered dining area with a BBQ and pizza oven for guests to use.

Further remarks
There is lots to do locally (within short driving distance) such as visiting the beautiful swimming lakes and beaches at St Estephe and the lacs de Charante where there are restaurants and free use of kayaks and paddle boards. There is also canoeing at the river in Montbron (all equipment provided). Go-karting at the excellent karting circuit at Périgord. Piegut Market is one of the largest in the Dordogne (every Wednesday am). Brantome is a beautiful town and is known as the Venice of the Périgord. La Rochefoucauld Chateau is stunning and well worth a visit. The Medieval walled city of Angouleme, with is beautiful old town is only 45 minutes away. The list goes on...………!

Breakage deposit €200 cash to be paid on arrival - this will be returned on departure after inspection of the property has taken place.
