In the nearby market town of Thenon (5km) you will find a supermarket, bank, hairdresser and restaurants as well as a swimming lake with a restaurant and a climbing forest. Hiking trails from the house, there is too much to mention. In the flat you will find an information book with folders about these, but also many more nice and beautiful sights in the vicinity...

Restaurants, food & wine

The Dordogne is known for its many specialities: Besides truffles and foie gras, there are a number of local dishes that the people of Dordogne enjoy to their heart's content. For example, they serve boeuf limousin - deliciously tender beef from the Limousin region. Local walnuts and delicious apples are also part of the menu. As a cherry on the cake - literally - you can enjoy a delicious cherry cake as a dessert: the clafoutis. Furthermore, the cep, pike-perch and the confit (made of pork, duck, goose and turkey) are part of the menu. With the wines of Bergerac and Monbazillac, the Périgord also speaks a good word vinologically.

Aanrader!
