The house
La Maison Bleue has open plan living area with 2 chairs and a sofa bed (sleeping 2 additional guests if required) with tv and dvd player, dining table seating up to 6 guests and fully equipped kitchen with microwave, gas cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Down a corridor is a family shower room with walk in shower, toilet and wash basin then 2 bedrooms. First bedroom has a double bed with wardrobe, shelves and hanging space and a dressing table. The second bedroom has two single beds with bed side tables and wardrobe.

Forest Gites is located on the edge of Chey, a stones throw from the market town of Lezay and 15 minutes to the historic town of Melle. The hamlet of Forest consists of 5 properties and Forest Gites is the last property you come to and has our paddocks on one side and farmland views from there on. We are not overlooked at all due to the layout of the buildings so you can enjoy a quiet rural holiday with views of the surrounding fields. There are 3 gites sleeping 2, 4 and 5 guests at Forest Gites and there is a 12x6m salt water swimming pool shared by the complex.

In the next village of Chenay is a traditional French restaurant Les Trois Pigeons or a little drive to Melle gives you several options of French, European, Italian or Vietnamese restaurants.
Activities
There are many local attractions in the surrounding area. The historic town of Melle is only 15 minute’s drive away with large supermarkets and the Mines d’Argent des Rois Francs, where a guided tour of the silver mine can be enjoyed. Highly recommended is Valley of the Monkeys (Vallee des Singes), Futuroscope and La Lambon. We have driven through so many beautiful villages just asking to be explored with many walking and cycling opportunities. There are fishing lakes, golf courses and horse riding locally or simply relax around our pool, with plenty of sun loungers available. We are within fair distance of the beautiful La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Cognac and Angouleme.

Bonjour,
Sarah et Allan sont très à l'écoute de leurs hôtes. Location est au Top et conforme à la description. Juste un petit détail qui je pense sera réglé dans les jours a venir, c'est de prevoir une nouvelle literie. Mais sinon cadre magnifique, calme absolu... Nous y reviendrons sûrement,et nous recommandons cette location.
