The house
At the end of a cul-de-sac, 100 metres from our own husi, surrounded by 4 hectares of our own land containing nut and fruit trees, meadows and gardens, lies this adorable 6-person holiday home, totally private, overlooking the French countryside.
Enjoy the spacious garden and terrace. The garden is not overlooked, so you can enjoy the sun the way you want. The garden and terrace are designed so that you can find a spot in the sun or shade all day long. You can park your car in the shade, or if you are on a motorbike, it can be stored in the shed.
The cottage is equipped with all modern conveniences, but at the same time gives the feeling of a cosy and light cottage.
On the ground floor is the living room with open kitchen. The cosy wood-burning stove provides warmth in the colder months, and there are also electric heaters to make it cosy. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for a holiday with ease. A dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, oven and microwave, plenty of crockery and cutlery. If the weather is bad and you have read your books, you can always switch on the TV or play a game. We offer Dutch, Belgian, French, English and German channels via satellite. In and around the cottage, you have access to high-speed fibre-optic internet.
There are 3 bedrooms, one of which is generously-sized on the ground floor with a double queen-size bed (160*200). The 2 other bedrooms are on the 1st floor, 1 with 2 single beds, and 1 with a double bed (160*200 which can also be made up as 2 times single). The mattresses and bedding are anti-allergic. There is a bathroom with WC on both floors. The bathroom on the ground floor also has a washing machine. The beds are made according to your wishes (single duvet or double) and of course towels and kitchen linen are provided.
The cottage is suitable for people from about 8 years old. There is a cot and chair available for very small children, but there are no additional child facilities such as stair gates, toys and the like. If you come alone with your partner, you'll enjoy an adult-only holiday, and if you come alone with your own blood, you won't have the hassle of other people's offspring either.

Lubersac is located in Corrèze, between Limoges and Brive la Gaillarde, on the edge of the Dordogne, in the rolling countryside of the Limousin. At 900 km from Utrecht, with about 15 minutes' drive from the A20 motorway, we are easily accessible.
The gite is located about 3 km outside the village, in the middle of meadows with grazing cows and exudes tranquillity.
The name Lubersac means "rich roman". Wealth and buildings from Gallo-Roman times are still clearly visible in this area. The green region exudes antiquity and the typical French atmosphere. In addition to its history, the village also has the conveniences of modern times and has several amenities such as 2 large supermarkets, bakeries, and a pharmacy and medical centre. Whether you are looking for peace and quiet or a more active holiday, it is all possible because of the cycling, water sports and hiking routes nearby.

The kitchen is very well equipped (oa oven, microwave, dishwasher) and has ample crockery and cutlery.
If you want to eat out, there are several restaurants in the vicinity, ranging from bistros to luxury. You can taste and buy regional products at the local (evening) markets.
Activities
Of course, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden and the cottage, but you are also well placed for excursions. In the immediate vicinity of Lubersac, there are many charming and unusual places to discover.
Medieval villages full of charm to discover, rivers and lakes for water fun and refreshment, farmers' markets for all the goodies from the region, cycling, walking if you want to be more active. And if you prefer a day in the city, the cities of Limoges (famous for porcelain) and Brive are just a 45-minute drive away through beautiful rolling countryside.
Further remarks
The village has an agricultural character, meadows of grass, cows, interspersed with rye or orchards. While you enjoy your holiday, others sometimes still have to work, which means that in the area, depending on the season, haying or harvesting takes place, or the cows change pastures. In the distant background, this is sometimes present.
