PERFECT FOR A ROMANTIC GETAWAY
A converted cognac distillery now offers confortable accommodation in a beautiful rural setting.
Originally the old chai, where the cognac barrels where stored, 'Otard' in one of 4 private independent holiday houses that sit around a central courtyard and gardens. The properties can be rented individually or all together for larger gatherings of friends and family.
The ground floor offers large open plan space that incorporates the lounge with Smart TV and high speed WiFi, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooker, under counter fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and all the kitchen utensils and cooking equipment you might need.
The double bedroom is very confortable with its 180cm-wide bed and there is an en-suite 1 shower room with toilets.
You can enjoy the private terrace with tables and chairs and your own BBQ for al fresco dining and a fantastic view on the open back garden!
Please note that the entrance is through the swimming pool courtyard so children are not allowed.
All rooms have electric heating for those early and late season breaks.
On site you can enjoy the large swimming poo (13x6m) with sunbeds and inflatables, the games room (pool, table tennis, table football, board games, kids toys and more), the 2 BBQ areas and the large landscaped garden. Bikes are available for you to go for a ride in the surrounding vineyards or get the morning croissants!
Laundry facilities are available in a separate building.

The property is set on the edge of the small village of Deuville, which nestles in the middle of the Cognac vineyards.
The village has about 40 houses, of which 4 continue as growers and distillers of cognac. Although the village of Deuville has no services, we are only 2 kms form the town of Segonzac which offers a supermarket, bakery, restaurant, pizza takeaway, coffee shop, cafe-bar, pharmacy, bank, petrol station, tourist office and the local cognac cooperative shop, Segonzac can be reached by road or if you prefer you can cycle along the traffic free track through the vines into the town. For more services and facilities we are only 10 minutes from the town of Cognac.

Zeer mooie en leuke locatie. Pittoresk gebouw en over-complete inrichting. Eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk, gezellig en schappelijk. Hebben leuke tips, denken graag mee en zijn flexibel.
Omgeving is mooi landelijk. Veel te fietsen en wandelen. Genoeg activiteiten en prachtige dorpjes met de auto te bereiken.

The area is full of restaurants to suit all budgets from Michelin star restaurants to traditional cuisine venues to trendy modern eateries. And of course, there are plenty of Cocktail bars and rooftop venues to spend your summer evenings.
The property is self catering so along with the local supermarkets, you will pleased to find regular food markets in both Cognac and Jarnac.
In addition to cognac, local specialties include the Charentais melon, oysters and mussels from the Atlantic coast and of course you must try the local liqueur of Pineau made with cognac and grape juice
