The house
The gite is comfortable and fully equipped. We ourselves lived in the gite for 3 months so you could say we did a trial run.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor, microwave, fridge / freezer and coffee machine of choice a Senseo or Nespresso machine. The living room has a stocked bookcase, wood stove, TV with DVD player and Bose CD player. On the ground floor you will also find the bathroom with Grohe shower and thermostat, toilet, washbasin and washing machine.
On the first floor there is a toilet with washbasin. There are also 2 bedrooms. One double room, with double bed, electric Velux skylight with blackout blind and a dressing table with mirror. The other room has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and the windows are equipped with black-out roller blinds.
Outside is a garden set with parasol. In addition, the gite also has a stone barbecue, charcoal etc. included. At the heated swimming pool, a lounge set and sun beds are available. Private entrance with parking.

At the end of a hamlet. Free view over field and forest. Very quiet and very often the only sound you hear is the birds! Not bothered by people looking in.
We live next to the gite and are therefore always available if there are problems. The gite has a private, enclosed garden but the pool is basically in our grounds. So the dogs walk around freely. They are both former hunting dogs from the shelter. Shy, sometimes noisy but friendly and not at all aggressive.

Wat een fantastisch mooi verzorgd huisje op een heerlijke plek. Er ontbreekt niets, aan alles is gedacht. Zo verzorgd maakten we niet eerder mee. Trude en Tony zijn bovendien hele fijne hosts. En de wifi is ook goed.

Wij hebben onwijs genoten van ons verblijf in de gite van Tony & Trude. Het is een heel knus en gezellig huisje, zeer compleet, van alle gemakken voorzien, ook voor onze baby (bedje/kinderstoel) en met een prachtige grote tuin en fijn zwembad. Trude & Tony zijn enorm gastvrij en doen er alles aan om je verblijf tot een fijne tijd te maken! Aangezien we al twee weken op reis waren in Frankrijk en veel gezien en gedaan hadden, hebben we in gite L’Escargot een heerlijk relaxte tijd gehad op het Franse platteland om onze vakantie af te sluiten.

Hebt was heel leuk kennis met jullie te maken. Bowie was een schat en zo waren jullie. Nog excuses dat jullie het zonder afwasmachine moesten doen maar dat was helaas niet anders en met wederzijdse toestemming.

Wat een heerlijk vakantiehuis in een omgeving waar je helemaal tot rust komt met super lieve eigenaren Trude en Tony.
De locatie is echt geweldig, heel landelijk, op het Franse platteland in een mooie bosrijke omgeving. Het huisje is helemaal top. Alles is aanwezig, zoals moderne badkamer, ruime en keurige slaapkamers, mooi sanitair, heerlijke keuken, openhaard en woonkamer. Buiten is het zwembad geweldig inclusief het terras en de tuin is groot en afgesloten dus ideaal voor een huisdieren! In de omgeving zijn Angouleme en Limoges aanraders.
Trude en Tony zijn super lieve mensen, erg hulpzaam, gastvrij en staan altijd klaar voor eventuele vragen.
Wij hebben een onvergetelijke vakantie gehad, met dank aan Trude, Tony en hun lieve viervoeters en keren hier zeker nog een keer terug! Bedankt voor de fijne week!

Situated about 1.5 hours from Bordeaux and the surrounding vineyards. Unlimited possibilities to visit wine regions by car, bicycle or on foot.
We are very interested in good food ourselves and we will be happy to help you find good restaurants, shops, markets etc.
Our neighbours have a farm with cows and sell fresh or frozen meat from their own herds. They also have sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, dried sausages and lentils.
