The house
Looking for a quiet holiday spot? Then you've come to the right place.
The bungalow has two terraces. The covered terrace offers outdoor seating all year round. Moreover, you can enjoy a very spacious garden (1,000 m2).
Children can safely explore both in the garden and in the park.
The living room is cosily furnished with a sitting and dining area. This house is also fully equipped. A neat kitchen with fridge (incl. freezer compartment), microwave, kettle, coffee machine and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine in this house.
With 3 bedrooms, it is suitable for up to 4 adults, or 5 people including a baby, so you can accommodate your whole family here.
You should bring your own kitchen, bath and bed linen (duvets and pillows are provided).

Restaurants, food & wine
There are several restaurants near the park where you can enjoy delicious food. For wine lovers, there are tastings in the area. In St Sornin, you can taste (and buy) wine at Guimbelot. The city of Angoulème is about 30 kilometres away; I myself am a fan of Sushi H, an Asian restaurant. But the various restaurants in Périgueux (75 car kilometres away from Ecuras) are also well worth a visit.
In the town of Cognac (68 kilometres away), you can visit a castle, take a bike ride through the Cognac vineyard, or taste cognac.
Activities
You can buy fresh bread at the park in high season. For other shopping you will have to rely on Montbron.
In the middle of the park there are two large lakes, one for swimming and the other for fishing.
On the edge of the swimming lake is a beach with play equipment and sunbeds.
The park also has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a volleyball court, a bowling alley and a mini-golf course.
Park Le Chat is located in the Charente region on the border of the Dordogne and the Limousin. The area is hilly with a partly wooded landscape there are many lakes and fast-flowing rivers, where you can canoe under supervision.
The village of Oradour-sur-Glane is worth a visit. In 1944, the village was destroyed by the Waffen-SS, killing all its inhabitants. Since then, it has been left intact, as if the massacre took place yesterday.
La Rochefoucauld castle can be visited on all days of the week except Tuesdays. It is closed during January and February. You can take a guided tour of the castle.
One kilometre away are the golf courses (18 holes) of Golf International de la Prèze, Here you can also enjoy lunch and dinner, overlooking the golf course.
