The house
We welcome you to the detached Gite at Park Village le Chat. Lake view from terrace and balcony.
The park has many facilities such as swimming pool, paddling pool, swimming lake, fishing lake, playground, playing fields, tennis courts, jeu de boules courts and table tennis tables. At the swimming pool, paddling pool and swimming lake, sun beds and parasols are available free of charge. At the swimming lake there is a slide and rafts where children can pull themselves across.
On the ground floor you will find the master bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and sliding doors to the balcony from where you have a beautiful view of the lake. So you can enjoy the beautiful view with a nice drink until the late hours.
There is a 2nd bedroom with high-sleeper single mattress with desk and also a single bed.
The bathroom is equipped with shower, washbasin and toilet.
Downstairs you will find the living room with open kitchen. Smart TV where you can watch Dutch channels. An Xbox Series 2 and CD player. Also a games cupboard. Excellent free Wifi/internet through pulled fibre optic cable.
The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, Senseo, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, electric hob with extractor. Ample stock of pans, glasses, cutlery etc.
In the garden a terrace with several seating areas and 2 long chairs to enjoy the privacy, tranquillity and nature. A very nice green garden enclosed by trees and hedges.

The park is located just outside the village of Ecuras. This is beautifully situated in a hilly landscape. 6 km away you will find the village of Montbron, where you will find 2 large supermarkets such as Supermarche and Aldi, a bakery, butcher, tobacconist, tobacconist, library, pharmacies, doctor's surgery and electric car charging stations.
Several beautiful cities you can visit such as Angouleme, Limoges, Cognac, Brantome. My favourite place in the area is Rochefoucauld with a beautiful castle and restaurant. You can take a guided tour and children can dress up in traditional clothes. The town has nice shops, bars and restaurants. You can find the big Supermarche Le Clercq there.

Restaurants, food & wine
You can buy wine, among other things, at the Cava in St Sornin this is from the local farmer. You can also have a wine tasting here.
There is a Michelin Star restaurant Moulin de la Tardoire right on the little river la Tardoire a few kilometres from the holiday park. In Montbron, I recommend the local pizzeria. Lovely sitting outside in the garden behind the restaurant. For a small price a delicious pizza. I can also heartily recommend the meat dishes.

Activities
Just outside the park there is an 18-hole golf course Golf international de la Preze. Where the experienced and novice player can play. A par 3 course has been laid out for the novice player. Next to the golf course is a restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a cup of coffee or a drink. If you have always wanted to try this, now is your chance. It is possible to sign up for a lesson/lessons.
Nearby, you can canoe on the river Tardoire. There is also a riding school just outside the park. You can also visit exciting caves. And there is a go-kart track in the area. A lake towards Angouleme where you can surf. Hiking and cycling routes, even hiking to Spain possible.
Weekly markets in various towns and cities.
You can also taste and buy wine at the local Cave. There is a Michelin Star restaurant a few kilometres from the park and in Montbron you can enjoy a delicious meal at the local Pizzaria. Here you can eat outside on the restaurant's indoor terrace.
During the summer season, the restaurant is also open. Some activities are organised from here. There is also.a fresh bread service in high season.
At the restaurant with terrace, you can enjoy a snack and a drink. Here you have a nice view of the swimming pool and the park.

Further remarks
During the summer holidays, the park organises a number of weeks. There is also a sandwich service during the summer holidays. Delicious fresh rolls can be picked up at the park. There is a food truck at the swimming pool for ice creams, snacks and drinks.
