The house
Open up the front doors and take a step inside our beautifully converted 240 year old converted farm building Mulsanne . To the left is the dining area and then to the right is the brand new fitted kitchen. A large archway leads into the lounge with its beautiful roof supporting round column. Look up and you'll see the gallery landing up above.
There is also a downstairs bathroom ( bath, toilet and hand basin).
Like all of our gites Mulsanne has a flat screen LED tv, along with UK & French channels, a DVD player, bluetooth sound system and a large book/ DVD library .Our gites have free WIFI (fast fibre connection) throughout.
We've added lots of children's toys and games to keep your little ones happy.
Stair gates are in place for your peace of mind. We have a good selection of high chairs and booster seats to save you some space in the already full car.
The closed tread stairs arrive at the top of the gallery landing which stretches along in an L shape with a great view of the lounge below.
4 doorways lead into the 3 bedrooms (1 king size, 1 double & 1 twin), A further doorway gives access to the bathroom (shower, toilet and hand basin).
All bedrooms have room fans and a mix of old and new pine furniture.

We are situated on the edge of a quiet hamlet with beautiful views over sunflower fields & vines. Bread and supplies can be bought from a local village, whilst 15 minutes away is our local market town for a great choice of shopping and restaurants etc. 40 minutes takes you to the wide beaches around Royan. 1 hour and you will be on the outskirts of stunning La Rochelle. and the famous town of Cognac is a 25 minute drive away whilst the old Roman town of Saintes is a 20 minute drive away.

Heerlijk ruim opgezet huis. Alles was aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. De bedden sliepen erg goed. En het huis bleef heerlijk koel ondanks dat het buiten erg warm was. Het zwembad is heerlijk, mooie ruime tuin met genoeg te spelen voor de kinderen. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en altijd bereid om te helpen indien nodig.

Restaurants, food & wine
If it's a quick drink with a snack then we have a choice of 2 bars in a large village 6 minutes away. The market town of St Jean D'Angely 15 minutes away offers a large choice of restaurants and bars If it's local cognac and Pinneau then our local producer 'Bonnin' offers a chance to sample and buy to get a real taste of what our area has to offer. Head off towards the coast and you'll discover some of the Atlantic coasts very best seafood dining.
Activities
We have plenty of mountain bikes free to use for our gite guests to explore our sleepy tracks, sunflower fields and vines. Within the 6000m2 here at La Pommeraie we have a huge childrens play area including a large pirate boat that has a 30 mtr zip line coming off it that journeys across the garden.
The stone walled pool area has our main 10 x 5mtr salt water pool, our children's/ baby heated pool, a 6 seat jacuzzi and plenty of sun loungers.
Table tennis, table football, swings, slides, a children's sand pit, badminton and football are also here at La Pommeraie.

We do not charge a cleaning fee but expect the gite and BBQ to be left in the same clean condition as it was at the start of your stay.
