The house
La Chaumière is a beautiful, authentic house stretching over several cosy and well-appointed rooms. Upon entering, you are immediately welcomed by the warm atmosphere of the living room, where a comfortable seating area is perfect for cosy evenings with family or friends. From this space, you can access a large veranda, which offers you breathtaking views of the valley, ideal for a relaxing moment with a cup of coffee or a good book.
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything you need to prepare delicious meals. Whether you want to make an elaborate dinner or prepare a quick snack, you will find a gas cooker, oven, microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine and dishwasher. Moreover, the house has two fridges: one in the kitchen with a freezer compartment on top and an extra fridge in a separate room close to the kitchen. The large dining table in the dining room offers space for everyone to enjoy meals prepared together in this cosy kitchen.
La Chaumière's three bedrooms offer a perfect combination of comfort and tranquillity. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed, ideal for a peaceful night's sleep. The second bedroom has a triple bed, which is perfect for a family or friends who want to sleep together. The third bedroom has a lits gigogne, which can be converted into a double bed or as two single beds. This offers flexibility for different group compositions.
Upstairs is the bathroom, which is equipped with both a shower and a bathtub - the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking or cycling in the beautiful surroundings. The toilet is also on this floor for added convenience.

Rent this authentic cottage in the heart of the Sée Valley, also called the valley of 100 mills, in a small village listed as "classified heritage", where the singing of the birds will enchant you. It is ideal for nature lovers, freshwater fishermen and walkers.
There are many activities and walks nearby, such as the Écomusée du Moulin de la Sée, the enchanted village of Bellefontaine and the waterfalls of Mortain (the largest waterfall in the north-west of France), all just 10 minutes away. Mont Saint Michel is less than an hour away and the landing beaches can be reached within 1 hour and 15 minutes. Historical sights and beautiful Brittany are also nearby (55 minutes).
For those who love hiking, there is no shortage of walking and cycling trails: the greenway (former railway line) of Mortain, Parigny, Isigny-le-Buat or Sourdeval, the GR 22, access to the Vélocénie (cycling path from Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel), mountain bike routes in the mountain bike FFC area and the valley of the Sée with more than 200 km of trails are at your disposal.
The Sée Valley is also very popular with trout and salmon fishermen, and is a great place to spend time with friends or family.
