The house
La Vitesniere is an old farm house which retains its original charm, whilst it also has all the trappings of modern life.
We are in a rural location, on walking & cycle routes but also only a 4 minute drive to the market town of Vire.
We have a pool which available during summer months, it is heated, it is shared with one other gite which accommodates 4 people.
Stay in a quiet corner of paradise in the Normandy Bocage, in a typical stone-built house. beds made on arrival, bathroom linen included, utilities included. You'll love the large living room with wood-burning stove, the veranda, the bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. You'll be 1h15 from Mont Saint Michel, 1h00 from Granville beach and 40mn from Caen. In the immediate vicinity, discover the Lac de la Dathée and its golf course, the Viaduc de la Souleuvre with bungee jumping, tyrolean traverse and giant swing, summer tobogganing, accrobranche ... There are many walks in the area and don't miss the Vire market on Friday mornings. The peace and quiet and the view of the pond and the neighbour's sheep make this a soothing place to stay.

Heating costs -- Mainly in Winter months November to April
We supply a rack of logs for wood burner which will last 3 nights, extra logs are charged at 25€ per rack
The kindling is charged at what we buy at normally 5/6€ per sack at the brico or alternatively you may supply your own
There is Electric heating in all bedrooms which if sensibly used we pay for but please use as if it is you paying the bill (responsibly)
