The house
Holiday home La Lumiere is a cosy, light house. The sun can fall in from any direction.
The kitchen is open so that you can cook in good contact with the rest of the company. It is a fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher.
Around the house are 3 sheltered terraces, east, south and west oriented, so you can always find the sun.
There is a cosy sitting area with two sofas and a spacious dining area.
Upstairs are 3 separate bedrooms: a master bedroom and another double and single bedroom.
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, shower and bathtub and a washing machine.
Holiday home La Lumiere stands on its own grounds and is not shared with others. Next to this holiday home, there is a second one (also on private property). In principle, both can be rented so that you can spend your holiday together with two families.
The terrain is closed off with a gate.

Ideal for people with small children, beach lovers and bird watchers.
The house is located on the outskirts of the pastoral village of Favieres on the fields in its own grounds of 500 m2.
The property is enclosed by a gate, there is a parking space inside the gate.
Within a distance of 5 km lies the bay of the Somme with the picturesque town Le Crotoy and on the other side of the bay Valery-sur-Somme. Here you can enjoy delicious fish dishes. At the same distance in the other direction is Rue. This place can be reached by train.
There are various types of beaches in the immediate vicinity, ranging from chalk cliffs to endless beaches and 'classic' beaches with waves and children's fun.
Also in the immediate vicinity is Parc du Marquenterre, a bird sanctuary.

Heerlijke week gehad in La Lumière! Mooi, rustig en centraal gelegen compleet uitgerust vakantiehuis.
Dichtbij de stranden, natuur(parken) en mooie stadjes met gezellige markten.

Mooi huisje in een rustige omgeving. Wij hebben genoten van de tuin met de appelbomen en de druiven. Vlakbij het huisje bevindt zich een stijlvol restaurant, Les Cle du Champs, waar je heel goed kunt eten. De kust en gezellige plaatsjes zijn makkelijk bereikbaar. Op een half uur rijden ligt Pointe du Houdel waar je zeehonden van heel dichtbij kunt bekijken.

Wij hadden een heerlijke week in La Lumière. Een fijn, licht en prettig ingericht huisje, mooi en heel rustig gelegen, niet ver van de kust. Het gebied was voor ons een ontdekking en bood veel mogelijkheden om te fietsen, te wandelen bij de rotsen of het wad en te zwemmen. Je kunt daarvoor zowel naar een zandstrand als naar de rotsen toe. Le Crotoy is een leuke havenplaats. We hadden veel geluk met het weer en hebben de hele week buiten geleefd.
Restaurants, food & wine
Le Crotoy and St.Valery-sur-Somme have many restaurants. Of course, the fish restaurants are well represented.
La Clef des Champs' in Favieres is a renowned restaurant, reservations are necessary.
In Rue there is a regional market every Saturday morning.
Activities
There are several cycling and walking routes. One of these cycling routes passes the house.
For birdwatchers it is a paradise: 2 migration routes cross in this area.
With some policy, the walking routes may also be used for mountain biking
(Sea) swimming is possible in Fort Mahon or picking mussels in Bois le Cise
The bay is ideal for kite-surfing and sand yachting is popular on the beaches.
In case of bad weather, there is an indoor swimming pool nearby with waves and slides, etc.
Climbing possibilities for kids in a tree park
Horseback riding is possible in many places, also on the beach. Generally Henson horses are used, reliable, strong animals that can be ridden by beginners.
There is a real steam train around the bay of le Crotoy to St Valery-sur-Somme, very worthwhile. Bicycles can be taken along.
In St.Valery you can take a sea canoe out on the water.
If you prefer walking, you can also make a 'Wadden' trip from le Crotoy to St Valery.

Further remarks
This house can be rented together with a cottage behind it (separate area, own access). Ideal to go with two families or to give grandpa and grandma their own place.
