Aubenton is a cosy village just across the Belgian border, only 4 hours' drive from Amsterdam and 2 hours to Paris.
The house stands on top of the hill on the outskirts of the village, it is beautifully secluded among farmland on its own 2000 ha of land surrounded by trees.
You will find complete tranquillity here apart from the occasional agricultural activity, it is located on a small farm road.

Restaurants, food & wine
The Thierace is known for its delicious local products, which can often be found at the cosy markets in the villages (marche du terroir).
In the nearby Champagne Ardennes, many Champagne tastings can be found, especially in Charleville Mezieres or in Reims.
Activities
The 2000-hectare site sits atop a hill completely surrounded by trees and 15 minutes' walk from the authentic village of Aubenton, where there is a bakery, supermarket, museum and cosy restaurant.
On the site itself there are also plenty of opportunities to have fun; there's badminton, football, swimming in the pool, lazing around in hammocks
and for the children there is a playhouse with two swings among the trees.
There are also shuffleboards and, for the children, a small football table. In the evening, it is possible to light a campfire on the fire pit or barbecue.
The surroundings also have plenty to offer: beautiful walking routes with magnificent views, vast forests in the nearby Ardennes, swimming lakes and cosy flea markets. Picturesque villages and towns such as the fortified town of Rocroi, Parfondeville and the towns of Laon and Charleville are also well worth a visit.
