Marmonfosse (Alt.450m) is a unique place set deep in the forest of the Vosges mountain range. The large area around the house is already a place of adventure in itself, and can occupy young and old alike. There is direct access to the forest, and many walks start right from your door. Saint-Dié and Bruyères, two nearby towns, have all the necessary facilities. The Hautes Vosges (altitude 1400m) is a paradise for hikers, around thirty minutes away by car. In winter, you can enjoy superb snowshoeing, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing. Alsace, an hour's drive away, with its characteristic culture, its Wine Route, and its beautiful towns such as Strasbourg and Colmar, is also well worth a visit, especially at Christmas time.

Restaurants, food & wine
Officially established as a tourist route in 1953, the Alsace Wine Route winds its way lovingly through vineyards and hillsides over more than 170 km, from north to south. It passes through almost 70 wine-growing villages, where more than 1,000 producers open the doors of their cellars to share their passion for wine. Authentic, festive and picturesque, the Alsace Wine Route is a celebration of pure enjoyment, and there's more to come as it seems eternal.
The Alsace Wine Route promises a thousand and one discoveries. Along the way, indulge your every whim and enjoy all the riches the Alsace Wine Route has to offer. Cycling through the vineyards, strolling through typical villages, climbing a castle, meeting winegrowers and sharing their expertise, tasting Alsace wines at a sensory workshop, relaxing in a spa with a view over the vines: so many unusual experiences and activities to make your stay an exceptional one!
