Reviews
Margreet Bunt from Opheusden,
Astrid & Tom from Amsterdam,
Restaurants, food & wine

A supermarket can be found 13 kilometres from the village, in Montmedy or in Stenay.

Activities
About 15 minutes from Louppy, we find the village of Azannes. An open-air museum with more than eighty old crafts. On Sundays in May (and also on Fridays in July and August), 400 volunteers show you all kinds of old crafts in the rope factory, sawmill, on the threshing floor, at the water mill, ... Also the baker, the shearer and the fisherman show what they can do,...
You can read about the daily newspaper of the 19th century, have a chat with the blacksmith, help to saw a tree by hand into planks, meet a furrier, a tractor on iron wheels, a primitive electric generator, a windmill, a steam engine and many old engines running on petrol. How were Roman pans made? Which spices to use where and when? Pies baked in a wood-fired oven...
Allow at least six hours for this visit. We have been there twice already and we still see new things. The enthusiasm of the volunteers is particularly special. Highly recommended!
