The house
In the beautiful hilly surroundings of the Meuse valley, this former railway guard house is located on the disused French Meuse line between Sedan and Verdun.
The house has been refurbished and extended with a spacious living kitchen with French doors to terrace and garden. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and an attic. Both the ground floor and first floor have a shower/toilet.
The house is heated by electric underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove in the kitchen, a wood-burning stove in the living room and radiators in the bedrooms. The wood-burning stove in the kitchen is also a fireplace. On the terrace there is garden furniture and a barbecue/fireplace.
The railwaymen's house has Wifi via fibre connection.
The house is fully equipped for 4 people. Bed linen and kitchen linen are provided, bath towels you should bring your own, or you can rent them for € 4.50 per package (2 towels + 1 flannel).
Inside, we like to keep it smoke-free and pets are not allowed.
A deposit of € 150 is required to stay in the house.
During holiday periods, the house is only rented per week, from Saturday to Saturday.

We hebben een week lang genoten in de comfortabele woning van Ans en Brigitte.
Het is compleet ingericht en er is veel privacy in de grote tuin.
De mooie spiltrap is best steil voor een senior, maar dat is het enige om aan te merken.
De omgeving is prachtig, lekker om te fietsen en uitstapjes te maken naar o.a. Verdun.

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in dit spoorwachtershuis. Het is een prettig huisje, mooi onderhouden, smaakvol ingericht, schoon en rustig gelegen. Een prima uitvalbasis voor wandelaars, fietsers en geinteresseerden in de eerste wereldoorlog en de stad Verdun.

Fijn, schoon huis, met een fijne grote keuken. In de tuin kun je heerlijk zitten, heerlijk rustig!
In de omgeving is genoeg te zien, vanuit het huis kunnen wandelingen gemaakt worden.
