The house
Comfortable and tastefully furnished semi-detached holiday home (gite), with beautiful views over the hills, in a beautiful part of the French Ardennes near the Belgian border. The interior of the holiday home is authentic with brocante and modern elements. Ground floor: living room with fireplace, (double sofa bed), armchair, TV with satellite receiver for, among others, all Dutch TV channels, Netflix, speaker for I-Pod/mp3 (with cable and bluetooth), Apple computer. Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, Nespresso milk frother and large dining table with 6 chairs. Bathroom with free-standing bath, separate shower, double basin, WC and hairdryer. First floor: one bedroom with double bed (sleeping under the stars!) and wardrobe. One bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and washing machine and tumble dryer. There is heating in every room. High chair and cot are available. The holiday home has Wi-Fi (fibre optic).

Surroundings
Garden of 200m². Garden at the back and terrace at the front, so you can always sit in the sun! Garden furniture (2 tables, 8 chairs, parasol, 2 adjustable garden chairs, 2 sun beds and hammock) and a barbecue. Maison Simonet is located on a very quiet country road overlooking the beautiful hills.

Wij hebben dit huisje als heerlijk ervaren! Je kan er fijn met je hond wegwandelen . Het huisje is comfortabel en er is overal aan gedacht. Heerlijke bedden. Grote achtertuin waar je hond lekker los kan lopen. Je zit aan een doodlopend weggetje. Lekker rustig. Er zitten nog 3 huizen naast je...daar hadden wij leuke contact mee. Huisje is zoals op de foto's sfeervol ingericht.. Fietsen hebben we niet gebruikt omdat we het daar niet aan durfden . Omgeving heeft zijn mooie plekken. Je ziet ook de armoede daar.
Hou je van de rust lekker ontspannen dan is dit huisje van Liza een aanrader! Liza reageeet vlot als je met vragen zit. Wij hebben heerlijke dagen gehad en deze staat op ons favorietje lijstje. Groetjes Marcel Mirjam en onze viervoeter Boas.Sanne from Helmond,
Gezellig huisje met mooi uitzicht. Lekker rustig gelegen. Mooie historische uitstapjes in de buurt met betrekking tot de eerste wereldoorlog.

Wat een heerlijk huis! Echt overal is aan gedacht. De directe omgeving vonden wij iets minder, om gelijk vanuit huis lekker het bos in wandelen of fietsen was niet mogelijk.
Ben je geïnteresseerd in de 1e wereld oorlog dan zit je hier helemaal goed, een zeer boeiende omgeving. Wij raakte zelfs nog verzeild op een schietbaan, die op dat moment gebruikt werd door het Franse leger.....oeps!
Liza en Richard dank je wel dat wij in jullie mooie huis een tijdje mochten door brengen.

Activities
Directly from Maison Simonet, you can enjoy hiking and cycling through the woods and small villages. At the lakes of Brouennes you can fish and there are also opportunities for climbing. Many species of birds and special flowers and plants can be found here. The impressive Bronelle castle is within walking distance. For shopping, you can go to the provincial town of Stenay, which is 6 km from Brouennes. With children, a visit to the Citadel of Montmédy and the Parc Argonne Découverte (with wolves and large play hammocks among the trees) are really worthwhile.
In the surrounding area, there is plenty of opportunity for cycling, walking and swimming (in the Meuse, among others). Cultural excursions are possible to cities such as Luxembourg, Metz (Centre Pompidou), Reims and Nancy. In Romagne-sous-Montfaucon you will find Meuse - Argonne American Cemetery, the largest American military cemetery (WWI) in Europe.
There are regular weekend brocantes in the area. From the end of November to the end of December, there are also Christmas markets. At Maison Simonet, information is available on cycling and walking routes and places of interest in the area.

Additional price info and offers
The rental price includes towels, bed linen (duvets are provided and beds are made when you arrive), kitchen linen, water, wifi, electricity, gas, firewood basket and final cleaning. If you book a week, the cleaning costs are included in the weekly price. For shorter stays, 50 euros for cleaning are added to the price for the nights. In consultation a pet is allowed, the costs are 10 euros per pet per stay. The minimum stay at Maison Simonet is 3 nights except in high season (then only per week from Saturday to Saturday).
For stays of less than 7 nights, the price depends on the number of persons and the nightly rate from Sunday to Thursday is slightly lower.
