The house
This holiday home on the edge of a small village is fully equipped, including a complete kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, induction hob and fridge freezer. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a separate toilet and a washing machine. The upper floor consists of a large loft as a sleeping area with a double box-spring bed (1.80 x 2.00m).
The house is completely detached and stands at the end of a cul-de-sac. The large (sloping) garden has a terrace, shed and veranda and offers unobstructed views of a pond with reed beds. The property is surrounded by meadows and afforestation.
Bath towels and duvet cover can be hired at extra cost.
A high chair and camp bed can be added on request.
Wifi is not available but mobile data coverage is fine. In addition, Wifi can be used at the local contacts if necessary.
The Gite is easily accessible from the A31 motorway and is about 15 minutes from the exit.

The entrance to the sloping garden (about 9 steps) and the stairs to the first floor can be challenging if you have some difficulty walking. Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information about this in advance.

The place Perrusse is located in the Haute Marne department, Champagne Ardenne region and it is part of the Chaumont arrondissement.
It is a small, quiet farming village with about 35 inhabitants. Away from the city and amid fields and forests.
The ideal setting to unwind!
The village has a town hall with a washhouse. On the first floor you will find the town hall and on the ground floor the former washhouse. Further on in the village you will find 2 more old wash houses in good condition.
There are no shops or restaurants in the village itself. However, these can be found in the vicinity. 12 kilometres from the village you will find a large supermarket and several shops. In the surrounding villages, you can go for a delicious lunch or dinner.
The gite is located on a hill, which provides a wonderful free location and beautiful views.
The region invites for lovely walks and is a paradise for cyclists!
There are several local museums in the region, such as the basket maker in Fayl-Billot, the ecomusée of folk arts and traditions in Mandres-la-Côte and the knife museum in Nogent.

Een heerlijke week gehad in Perusse. De gite is erg mooi en compleet en heeft een geweldig uitzicht. De omgeving is prachtig en heerlijk rustig, We hebben genoten van de fietstochten , het wandelen en het zwemmen in 1 van de meren. Heel fijn met de zeer hoge temperaturen die week. Verder Franse stadjes bezocht. Kortom een fantastische vakantie gehad.

Prima geoutilleerd huisje, Gezellig ingericht, prima keuken en slaapgelegenheid. Heel rustige omgeving. Toevoeging aan de info op de website: wanneer je benen niet al te soepel zijn, zijn de 9 wat schots en scheve traptreden van natuursteen naar het licht schuin oplopend tuinpad meer dan de in de website genoemde “uitdaging”, zeker wanneer het regent.

Perrusse is located in the Champagne Ardenne, France's champagne and wine region. There are many champagne and wine houses in the region where you can take part in a tasting and, of course, shop.
Cities such as Chaumont, Neufchateau, Vittel, Nancy, Dyon and Langres are worth a visit.
There are many brocante markets and weekly markets in the area.
Activities
Walking and cycling are possible everywhere in the hilly surroundings, such as the Meuse valley, around the Langres lakes and in the Clefmont forest. On the site of the Tourism Office in Langres you will find extensive information on hiking and cycling routes.
The four lakes around Langres offer numerous leisure activities: swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, pedalos, boat rental, water skiing, fishing.
Around the lakes you can go hiking or mountain biking.
There is a tavern at Lac de Charmes and Lac Liez.
Visit the grounds of Morimond Abbey; a former Cistercian abbey in Parnoy-en Bassigny. Near the abbey is a forest for hiking and there is a beautiful lake.
In the summer months, you can swim in Nogent's open-air swimming pool on Rue de la Piscine.
You can explore the 14 kilometres of old railway track between Andelot and Bologne on a special railway bike.
In Bourbon les Bains you will find a spa with hot springs.
In Balesmes sur Marne, you can visit the source of the Meuse.
Swin-golf, a low-threshold variant of golf, and tennis are available in Biesles.
The city of Langres, with its 3.5 kilometres of ramparts, 12 fortified towers, citadel and 7 city gates is worth a visit.
In Perrusse itself is a pottery where workshops are regularly organised (and guided tours are given on request).
