Le Grebe is our largest property with spacious kitchen/dining and lounge areas (including a wood-burner) and four large bedrooms. The gite has authentic charm alongside modern day conveniences. There is level access throughout the ground-floor, which includes a bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

it is 12.5m x 5m and heated, easily accessed from the rear of the gites, has large surrounding terracing with ample lounger chairs with cushions, poolside shower with solar-heated hot water, open from May to September, available for use every day, maintained to an extremely high standard. The pool has Roman steps at one end, giving easy access to young and old alike. It is a particular favourite with families with young children who are learning to swim. The pool is deepest (2 m) at the opposite end to the steps.

Les Petites Cigognes is within easy travel distance of Paris or other points of arrival and is situated just outside the sleepy village of Cussay. Five minutes in either direction will bring you into our neighbouring towns of Descartes and Ligueil.
Descartes is located about 15 miles east of the A10 junction 25, near St. Maure de Touraine, south of Tours. The city of Tours, the regional capital, is within 45 minutes driving of Les Petites Cigognes. And beyond lies the beauty of the Loire Valley, The Garden of France.

Restaurants, food & wine
There is a selection of good restaurants in Descartes, Ligueil, Le Grand Pressigny, Oyré, Loches, Tours and many other local villages. We will be pleased to make recommendations.
Vineyards: Chinon is renowned for its red wines. Vouvray, close to Tours, and the area to the east of Tours produces excellent white and sparkling wines. Saumur produces excellent white and red wine.
We are pleased to recommend visits and specific vineyards in all these areas.

Chateaux of the Loire: Some of the highlights include Villandry, Chenonceau, Azay le Rideau, Amboise, Montresor, Chambord, Candé, Ussé, Riveau and Loches.
Theme park: Futuroscope is ony 45 minutes away
Nature: Bird watching, Brenne National Park, La Haute-Touche (the largest zoological park in France), Beauval Zoo, and local caves.
Walking: There are numerous signposted walks in the area all having their own leaflet with clear maps, instructions and points of interest. Walks cover a range of distances from 3km to 25km and range from discovering a town to seeing the wonderful open countryside of the area.
Cycling: A range of signposted cycle-routes have been created in the area, each with their own maps, instructions and points of interest similar to those of the walking routes.
Swimming, Fishing, Canoeing, Tennis and Golf are all available within a short drive from Les Petites Cigognes
