The house
Pretty, characterful living room with adjoining conservatory, with CD player and radio. From the conservatory you have a wonderful view of the whole garden.
Cooking: Spacious cosy country style kitchen with oven and microwave. Dining area in the kitchen. Washing machine and high chair. Wood burning stove.
Sleeping: A bedroom with double bed and a very good sofa bed in the living room. Child's bed and duvets available. The bedroom on the first floor has a shower, washbasin and wc.
The outdoors can be enjoyed with the garden furniture, sun chairs and barbecue.
Exterior: Holiday home 'La Veranda' is, together with holiday home 'La Cascade', situated on a brook in an idyllic terrain of 7,000m2. There are swings, lots of room to play and a jeu-de-boules court under the apple trees. There are many lovely spots on the grounds where you can enjoy the shadow in all peace and quiet.

The gite is located near the beautiful medieval towns of Chinon and Saumur. The Loire region in France has a lot to offer. Fantastic castles such as Amboise, Chenonceau, Loches, Cande, Azay le Rideau, Langeais and Villandry with its beautiful gardens.
But the Loire region also has many country and forest roads with beautiful walking and cycling routes. The Loire River forms the centre of this area, which for a large part is listed as UNESCO World Heritage. You will also find one of France's most beautiful zoos (Doue la Fontaine) and the largest Abbey of France (Fontevraud).

Mooi landelijk gelegen huisje met hele grote tuin waar altijd wel plekjes zijn met zon en plekjes met schaduw. In de omgeving zijn fijne fietsroutes en Chinon met zijn mooie fort en leuke cafeetjes en restaurants is vlakbij.

We hebben hier een heerlijke week vakantie gehad, In de enorme tuin met overkapt terras is het heerlijk uitrusten en bij wat frisser weer zit je gezellig in de erker. Chinon en Saumur zijn dichtbij te bezoeken. In het dorp op loopafstand zit een goede bakker en als je echt lui bent is er een stokbroodautomaat om de hoek.

Heel lekker rustig plekje. Genoten van de zeer ruime tuin en het uitzicht op de landerijen, bomen en ruïne van de molen. Authentiek huisje; knus en een heerlijke serre om bij wat killer weer je boek te lezen.
Cinais zelf is een enigszins verstild dorpje, de bakker is top en heeft tijd voor een praatje.
Lekker gewandeld en nabije steden en dorpjes bezocht. Chinon herbeleefd: heerlijk met koffietje, hapje eten en lekkere wijn op een terras,
Kortom; lekker tot rust gekomen en daar waren we naar op zoek.
Restaurants, food & wine
Chinon is a beautiful town with many terraces and restaurants as well as cosy shopping streets. For your groceries you can go to Chinon which has a large LeClerc and SuperU.
The Loire is famous for its wines. There are many wine producers in the area that you can visit and where you can taste and buy wine.
The Saumur Champigny is recommended as well as the white wine of Vouvray.
Along the D751 from Chinon to Saumur you will find the mushroom nurseries..
Activities
There is a swimming pool at 5km from the holiday home, in Chinon. At the bridge in Chinon you can rent canoes and mountain bikes for trips on either water or land. There is a ropes course in the forrest of Chinon. Bourgueil has a large lake with all sorts of water activities on offer. You will find a golf course near Loudon. Certainly worth a visit are the mushroom caves, from Chinon in the direction of Saumur.
Chinon has its own Tourist Office but we have collected all sorts of information about walking routes, cycling routes and various brochures on activities in the area which you will find in the gite.

Further remarks
Not enough room or are you coming with a larger group? This wonderful holiday home La Cascade is situated not the same private domain as holiday home La Veranda. This allows you to spend an unforgettable time with ten people.

Rates are per week and include energy costs.
The gite can be rented for a minimum of a week from Saturday 16.00 to Saturday 10.00.
Low season : January to March, November and December
Mid season: April to June, September and October
High season: July and August.
Other costs:
Deposit is 150 euros to be paid upon arrival and refunded at departure (when no damage to property has occurred)
Cleaning costs: 40 euros to be paid upon arrival
Pets are not allowed
No smoking inside the house.
