The house
Vine Cottage is part of a 18th Century Longhouse that has been beautifully and lovingly restored to provide 21st century living. With vaulted ceiling and Breton fireplace you will immediately feel "at home" the moment you walk through the door. The lounge area is furnished with a leather sofa and lots of comfy cushions. There is a TV for both English and French programmes and a DVD player with a large collection of DVDs. The fully fitted kitchen comes equipped with all your needs to produce and serve locally purchased French foodstuffs.. We provide a generous welcome pack of local produce and also Fair Trade coffee and tea to start you off. The comfortable king size bed comes with quality bed linen for a good nights rest. The en-suite monsoon shower wakes you up ready for an amazing day and you can luxuriate in our cosy robes, fluffy towels and enjoy our Body Shop products. For those who need to keep in touch free WiFi is available. All this sits in the heart of Southern Brittany's most beautiful countryside and forms part of a small hamlet within a conservation area, of which the peace and tranquility has hardly changed since the reign of Louis XIV. Discover at your leisure almost 1 acre of garden complete with a potager full of flowers, herbs and vegetables, all of which you are welcome to sample. We embrace an ecologically friendly approach to our garden. Here you can relax in our choice of intimate seating areas or enjoy a range of garden games. Alternatively take an opportunity to star gaze from our magical wood fired hot tub which is set in a secluded area of the garden. 15% discount on ferry fares is available for guests travelling with Brittany Ferries. We offer support for walkers and cyclists.

Reviews
Paul from Arnhem,
Lies Bout-Sprangers en Christine Appelman from Warffum,
Aad van Paassen from Amstelveen,
Aanrader.
Comment from Linda Huggins
We are so pleased that you had a good stay here and that you enjoyed the variety of landscapes and opportunities that this area has to offer our guests. It was a pleasure to meet you!
Restaurants, food & wine
We are able to recommend lots of very good local restaurants in a range of locations and are happy to make reservations for you. Try moules overlooking the sea or locally reared meat in a quaint little village.
Whilst in Brittany you must try a Breton creperie, of which there are many we can recommend close by. Here you can exerience a wide range of savoury galettes, sweet crepes and sample local cider.
We also proudly recommend a local tea room where the welcome is warm and the cakes delicious!
Most restaurants pride themselves on using locally produced products.
Activities
Vine Cottage is 15 minutes walk through woodland to the River Blavet. There you have access to the river and the long distance footpath alongside it.
We particularly welcome, and can help, walkers and cyclists, both road and mountain biking. We have mountain and electric bikes available for you to use to explore the nearby woodland and quiet country lanes.
We are situated in a wooded area with an abundance of trails so if you like to be active it is never necessary to use your car.
Nearby are stables, canoe hire, wake boarding and the sea is a short drive away.
