We have visited Gardeners House several times now and it never disappoints. The house is amazing and the view is spectacular. There’s everything you could possibly need in the house and Audierne is the perfect place to spend a holiday. Bev is an amazing host and this really is a home away from home. We have already booked for next year and we are not even on the ferry home yet. Highly recommended for families and couples!

Mooie tuin, gezellig en ruim huis in leuk stadje. Winkels en horeca op loopafstand. Complete keuken. Wij hadden helaas wat minder mooi weer dus weinig van de tuin kunnen gebruikmaken

The Gardeners House is honestly the best gite I have ever stayed in. It’s perfectly situated to explore Audierne and surrounding areas. The views are spectacular and the house itself is beautiful. There is everything you could possibly need in the house and there is a fabulous garden as well. Bev is the perfect host , really welcoming and ready to help with anything. We have been several times now and have already booked for next year.

Restaurants, food & wine

I send out a detailed list of local and close by eateries and restaurants etc however the town is well served with a selection to suit all tastes and budgets. The local area is particularly good for fresh fish as the water is so clean. The local wine 'Muscadet sur lie' is particularly good with all seafood and as an aperitif.

Activities

This area is extremely beautiful and popular with anyone that enjoys outdoor activities. We are near several beaches where you can find paddle boarding, sand carting, swimming etc etc or simply walking around the cliffs and headlands. The majestic River Goyen has a wonderful cycle track to Pont-Croix about 4 miles away where you will find small restaurants and coffee shops to rest in.
The town has an Aquashow that is popular with adults and children, there is a Saturday market and in the peak summer weeks there are Fest-Noz (Bretton night festivals with food stalls, music and dancing) and a few Celtic festivals That are advertised in the very helpful Tourist information centre by the harbour.
