The house
Our nature holiday villa is located in the countryside of les Pays des Combrailles region and consists of a L-shaped living room with 2 sliding doors to the large terrace with private swimming pool and beautiful countryside views. In the large open kitchen you will find a dishwasher, American fridge with freezer, hot air oven, microwave and 4 burner gas set. Next to the house is the pool (4.5 x 9m) and a covered terrace with outside table (6p). The lounge has a smart television with a netflix connection. The bathroom consists of a spacious walk-in shower, whirlpool, washing machine and a separate toilet. On the top floor are 2 spacious bedrooms with 180x200cm beds, an additional toilet and a second living room on the large vide with sofa bed of 130 x 190 cm suitable for 2 children up to 12 years.

The house is on a dead end with a view to the fields and countryside at the front and on the backside the house leads to the edge of the woods. Montingeat falls under a tiny hamlet 5 minutes away from Montaigut and Combrailles. The house is very private and quiet. The first bakery can be found 5 minutes away and the shops (Lidl & Carrefour) can be reached within 10 minutes.

Restaurants, food & wine
Everyday, you can go to a local market to find the nice products of the region there. In the summer months you can dine outside on the covered terrace for a long time. There is no BBQ, but a grill is available outside. In the immediate vicinity there are many nice restaurants to find, where you can eat a day menu, like the French who are used to eat a warm meal at lunchtime. In the evening you can go to the village of Néris les Bains (15mn) where you can eat 'Truffade' at La Brasserie. The wine region at Saint Pourçain sur Sioule is reached within 45 minutes, which is France's oldest wine region. On Saturday mornings you have a nice market in St Pourcain and we have tips to drive through a beautiful route through the vineyards.
Activities
In addition to lazing by the pool in the summer months, there are many activities in the vicinity: many walks, vtt and cycling routes are already set aside. The house is on the edge of a woodpath, which allows you to go by mountain bike and on foot. You can also make a nice trip with a kayak or canoe in the Gorges de la Sioule (20 min by car). Or rent a vélorail (a bicycle combination on the old railway line) from the village of Lapeyrouse to St Eloy les Mines. But also in the village of Louroux de Bouble are beautiful sports bikes for hire at Velo à la Campagne. Within 20 minutes there is a tree climbing park at Echassières. You can go to the crater lake of Gour de Tazenat, where you also have a nice walk. In the village of Neris les Bains (15 min) you have a beautiful wellness / spa center, many restaurants and a beautiful 18 hole golf course. The cities of Vichy, Montlucon and Clermont Ferrand are also worth a visit and you can take the new train to the top of the Volcano, the Puy de Dôme (1465m). A beautiful route to the village of Charroux belongs to one of the "Plus Beaux Villages" of France.

A reservation is final upon receipt of 50% of the total rent. The security deposit is 300,00 euro and can be paid on the day of arrival. Cleaning costs: 80,00 euro (this includes linen). Upon arrival, the beds are made up for you and adapted to the season. During the winter months or in the fresh seasons when the fire place or the central heating is in use we charge an extra charge for the use of woodwood at 5 euro per coffin. (50 euros per kuub). Consumption electricity will be calculated separately at 0.30 € / kwh
