The magnificent Bell tent is completely detached . The view over the hills of the Combrailles is fantastic on 2 hectares of land. Complete privacy without feeling alone. Very spacious. Villages with all amenities are only 5 car minutes away. Several beautiful swimming lakes around the corner.

Enjoy all the good things the French countryside has to offer. Do your shopping yourself at the local markets with fresh products straight from the land, a large assortment of Auvergnat cheeses and a delicious local wine from Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule, or let yourself be pampered in one of the nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. A list of possibilities is available in the gite.
Activities
In Le Mont-Dore and SuperBesse (massif du Sancy) there are plenty of opportunities for the mountain sportsman, adventurer and winter sportsman. In the summer months, climbing, via ferrata, hiking and trekking. In the winter months, the area turns into a beautiful (affordable) winter paradise where the areas Le Mont-Dore and SuperBesse are connected as ski resorts.
Just outside the village of Châteauneuf-les-Bains there is a boarding point for canoeists, and there are also plenty of canoeing opportunities in Pont-de-Menat further afield.
Ayacheval in the village of Ayat sur Sioule offers canoeists wonderful trips in the area.
For the real adventurer, a large number of downhill descents are possible by mountain bike during the summer season in Le Lioran and SuperBesse, the gondola lift takes you (with mountain bike) to 1900 metres after which the descent can begin. Enjoy!
A 15-minute drive away you will find the Gorges de la Sioule. Start at the dreamy village of Châteauneuf-les-Bains and follow a truly beautiful route along the river Sioule. En route, there are plenty of idyllic spots for a delicious pique-nique and then dream away to the murmur of the flowing river.
Visit the largest Buddhist temple in Europe, Dhagpo Kundreul Ling, in the town of Biollet. A truly un-French experience but no less impressive!
Plenty of swimming, fishing and canoeing opportunities in one of the beautiful lakes or, of course, the River Sioule.
Take a stroll in one of the charming villages nearby, visit a flea market or the cosy weekly market and in season even a night market. In the Campagne (countryside), it is customary to announce events by posting signs on the roadside, so watch out.
A 45-minute drive away is the beautiful area of Le Mont-Dore. Here you will find yourself in a totally different landscape with mountains up to almost 2000 metres high. The village of the same name is well worth a visit in both summer and winter.
As a visit to Cantal takes a bit more time, an overnight stay there is definitely a nice option. A rugged and vast mountain area known for its beautiful mountain passes, delicious cheeses and Salers cows. Recommended for the sporty motorist/motorcyclist!
Auvergne is the region in France with the highest number of AOP cheeses, a guarantee of authenticity and high quality. Bleu d'Auvergne, Cantal, Salers, Fourme d'Ambert and Saint-Nectaire. Recommended is a visit to Saint-Nectair where the king of Auvergne cheeses is produced.
Follow the "chain of volcanoes" and go back in time. Once the mountains in this region reached up to 5,000 metres, much later the volcanoes formed here. Experience and learn a little more about the history and origins of this natural phenomenon and visit the theme park Vulcania and the Volcan de Lemptégy opposite where you literally walk around inside a volcano.
