Gîte Les Caribous

In the heart of the forest at 1250 meters altitude, « Gîte Les Caribous » is an exceptional location, a tranquil getaway where you will feel like a Canadian trapper or wilderness adventurer, but with the comforts of chalet luxury in this charmingly renovated historical farmhouse previously owned by the counts and countesses of Haute-Savoie. Complete reboot guaranteed ! The perfect place for a family getaway or sojourn with friends, to mark a special occasion, to re-connect with nature, and to explore our beautiful mountains. There are several hike or snow-shoe options starting directly from the property, and plenty of fun and games planned into the property itself :-)

"Gîte Les Caribous" boasts a unique interior to match its unique setting.

- On the ground floor you'll find a large dining room and living space with a bar, wireless speakers, fireplace, powder room, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

- On the top floor you’ll find a library, a living room space, and a large game room with a pool/billard table, darts, sound system, sofas etc. (also a great spot for yoga).

- Sleep: Three comfortable suites each offer ensuite bathrooms with separate toilets and mezzanines with more beds. An additional mezzanine overlooking the library provides dedicated sleeping space for two. This makes our rental ideal for a number of scenarios, from 2 couples alone to families with kids or groups of friends, up to 15 people.

- Wellness area with a fire-heated barrel sauna, a traditional fire-heated Scandinavian hot tub and a cool shower. (The wellness area is available at extra cost and must be reserved in advance)

- Outdoor amenities: BBQ, fire pit, terrace and large dining table, lounge chairs, bean bags, garden games, and a pond. Snowshoes and walking sticks at disposal.

-In person check-in and check-out : We bring your luggage up from the parking 500m below, and any people who desire (the last 500 meters are 4x4 only, or 10 minutes by foot), within check-in and check-out hours or as agreed upon.

- The wellness area must be booked in advance at additional cost of 200€ for the duration of your stay

Accessibility:
Please note the gîte is not adapted to people with reduced mobility.

Located at the end of a path accessible only with a 4x4 for the last 500m stretch, you'll be able to make it up to the gîte on foot in 10-15 min, while we bring your luggage up with our 4x4 or tracked quad depending on the season. (We can of course bring people up to the gîte if someone prefers not to walk).

Capacity:
We remind you that the maximum capacity of 15 people includes children and infants, and is a strict capacity applicable to anyone present, even just visiting for the day, not just guests sleeping there. This is a matter of French law, building codes and insurance and cannot be deviated from.

Located 30-40 minutes from Annecy, Geneva, le Grand-Bornand... 15 minutes only from La-Roche-sur-Foron, a vibrant little town and all your commodities.
