A cosy 4/5-bed flat of ± 45m2, mostly finished in wood. Located on the first floor with a south-facing balcony and great views of the nature reserve/ski slope.

ChaletYap is located in La Chapelle d'Abondance, a beautiful authentic French mountain village in Haute-Savoie, south of Lake Geneva. The chalet is located right at the foot of the slopes of the Crêt-Beni ski area, part of the snow-sure Les Portes du Soleil. The chalet offers four comfortable flats with beautiful unobstructed mountain views.

La Chapelle-d'Abondance is echt een prachtige omgeving om te zijn. Kleinschalig met 4 appartementen, rustig gelegen aan een beekje met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Chris en Brenda zijn zeer gastvrij en staan altijd klaar als je vragen hebt. We hebben genoten van alle activiteiten die je in de omgeving kan doen. In het appartement is alles aanwezig en zelfs een handdoekwissel is geen probleem. Het balkon is wat klein voor 4 personen, maar ook zomers kun je dan beneden buiten zitten. Aan alles is gedacht. We denken erover na om ook een keer in de winter te komen. Kortom, een aanrader! Bedankt.

A beautiful and very clean appartment. It was much bigger then we expected. The view from the balcony is awesome and nature is overwelming. The owners know a lot about the region and are always willing to help you with suggestion for a hike or something else.

Description and distance from ski station

The chalet is located directly opposite the Crêt-Béni chairlift of the ski area of the same name with some 10 km of slopes. From the chalet, you are therefore on the slopes in no time! The Crêt-Béni ski area is particularly suitable for families and novice skiers. Next to the chairlift you will find a restaurant/bar, the practice area of the ESF ski school and a sledge slope. You can also choose to take the ski bus to the Panthiaz cabin lift in the village or the ski lifts in Châtel. These ski lifts take you to the large ski area of Les Portes du Soleil. The ski bus departs just 100 metres from the chalet. For non-skiers, cross-country skiing trails and hiking trails can be found in the immediate vicinity of the chalet.
Activities
SUMMER
In summer, you can enjoy breathtakingly beautiful nature. Whether you are looking for a challenging mountain hike or a nice flat route along the river, from ChaletYap you step straight into nature. Starting a hike at altitude? Take one of the many mountain lifts open during the summer.
The area is a paradise for action lovers with activities such as (downhill) mountain biking, rafting&canyoing, climbing, paragliding or experience the zipline "Le Fantasticable". A day less active? Relax by Lake Geneva or Lake Montriond or visit one of the quaint villages in the area. Be surprised by the many possibilities! We will gladly tell you more about them.
There is plenty of entertainment for small children nearby. Climbing in various climbing forests, swimming, cycling, tobogganing, pony riding, mini-golf or a visit to the goat village of Les Lindaretes. But perhaps what they like best of all is building dams in the little river La Dranse behind our chalet!
WINTER
In winter, La Chapelle d'Abondance is the gateway to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area with 680km of slopes. A beautiful area for both experienced and less experienced skiers. In addition, the area is very attractive for (snow) hiking and cross-country skiing. The trails are right in front of the chalet. With the ski resort of Crêt-Béni, the ski school and a sledge slope on the doorstep, it is also very suitable for families with small children. Come and enjoy the winter fun!
