The house
Fully restored stone house with swimming pool (6x4) near the centre of the village with a superb view of the Roche Colombe mountain. This gite is located 300m from the shops and a hiking trail is at 60m away. The furniture is trendy (industrial style) with an integrated kitchen opening onto the living room. It has 2 bedrooms:
- 1 room with a double bed of 160 x 200
- 1 room with 2 single beds 90 x 200 with an ensuite shower and a washbasin (possibility to join the beds, to make a double of 180 x 200)
- On the mezzanine 2 beds 90 x 200 (18m2)
- A separate bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin
This gite is equipped with a large terrace in an enclosed garden.

The gîte is located on the outskirts of the village of Saoû (Drôme) with amagnificent view of the Roche Colombe mountain, while remaining less than 150m from all the village shops.
From the gîte you can leave your car on the private car park of the gîte and do everything on foot, go hiking, do your shopping etc ....
The village of Saoû is located in the heart of the Val de Drôme at the gateway to Provence (15km from Crest - 25km from Montélimar - 20km from Saillans).

Wat een mooie plek en een fijn huis om je vakantie door te brengen.
Midden in een prachtige omgeving waar je veel mogelijkheden hebt om iets te ondernemen; van wandelen rond het dorp tot het bezoeken van Monelimar maar vergeet vooral Cest niet. Dit is echt een aanrader! en toeren met de auto door het mooie landschap! helaas was het te koud voor het zwembad in de periode dat wij er waren, en staat de lavendel nog niet in bloei; Wij hebben genoten van de rust en een fantastische vakantie gehad.Comment from Dussaix

The vineyards for the Clairette de Die are less than 15km away and we of course there is the wine route of the Rhone Valley region.
25km away are the nougats of Montélimar.
Activities
Near the forest of Saou (2km), all types of hikes are possible, there is something for all levels. Departure of hikes at 60m from the gîte, access to a ski resort at 1h15 from the gîte.
Bike rides, guided tours of the Saou forest, visit to the CREST tower (15km), the highest in France. Many markets take place with the sale of local products.
At 10km away, you can canoe down the Drôme river.
