This holiday home is located in the middle of the Drôme near Mornans, near the picturesque villages of Saoû (6 km) and Bourdeaux (4 km). It is an excellent starting point for exploring the entire Drôme, from the Drôme Provençale to the Vallée de la Drôme, le Diois and even the Vercors. The Roubion river opposite offers lovely spots for swimming, playing and relaxing. It is great hiking and cycling in the area. In the farmhouse you will find a folder with all walks and cycling routes in the area. Prefer to go by car? We have beautiful routes for that too.

Restaurants, food & wine

We serve a 4-course dinner (€30 p.p. including drinks) five days in the weehk. Called table d'hôtes in France. As much as possible, we eat outside in the attractive courtyard of our chambres d'hôtes and, if the weather is less clement, in the nostalgic dining room. You can also dine if you have rented a gîte.
Here, you will be served real French cuisine and regional specialities prepared by my (French) husband Thierry. Wherever possible, we use fruit and vegetables from our own vegetable garden and products from local farms.

Tasting local products
Close to the farm and at various places in the Drôme, it is possible to visit a farm and go on guided tours. At the same time, you can taste and buy products such as meat, goat cheese, fruit and (lots of!) wine. 1km from la Ferme de Pauroux is a cheese dairy of Picodon (the region's goat's cheese). There are also farms with a large apple orchard, syrups, snails and a real beer brewery in Saou!

Activities

If you do not know the Drôme, you will be pleasantly surprised during your visit. Upon arrival you will receive a map of the Drôme and the landlords will be happy to inform you about the main attractions in the area. Bourdeaux is a lovely village with a beautiful medieval centre with castle ruins as its main attraction. Cosy market on Thursdays. The hosts have a list of markets in the area available. The large Provencal market in Nyons is really worth a visit. 'Les Villages Perchés' are a number of villages all perched high on a hill at the foot of a castle. The landlords have set out a number of car and bike routes along these villages, including explanations of the area. The Saoû forest is a beautiful natural area with many types of trees. Many hiking possibilities from easy to difficult with the highlight being 'Les Trois Becs' and beautiful picnic spots. The rocks of Omblèze are impressive with a 72-metre high waterfall, which can be reached via an easy walking path (and is a great place for swimming and playing). A must-see during your holiday. And how about the vultures at Remuzat?
