The house
On a hill, overlooking the valley, lies Roqueramade. Recently renovated, this comfortable and spacious gîte is located near the medieval village of Mollans-sur-Ouvèze. This pretty village is perfectly located in relation to beautiful nature and lively towns. For example, the Gorges du Toulourenc are at walking distance from the gîte, but the lively Vaison-la-Romaine can also be reached within 15 minutes. Malaucène, from where you can reach Mont Ventoux, is fifteen minutes away. But also Avignon can be reached within an hour.
Roqueramade consists of one spacious gîte of 80m², next to the owners' house. The gîte is rented to a maximum of two people (adults only). It is located on a hill in the greenery and is completely independent on the first floor of the house. The gîte has its own entrance, which can be reached outside via a staircase.
You have access to a large living room with dining kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a separate toilet and a double bedroom with comfortable beds. There is possibly an extra bedroom available in the gîte, if you both want your own room.
The living room is bright and cosy and has a high beamed ceiling. From here you have views over the valley. There is a cosy seating area, equipped with a smart TV. The kitchen is built in Provence style and is fully equipped, including a fridge-freezer, an induction hob, an oven and a dishwasher. There is also a Nespresso machine, an electric kettle and a toaster.
The large bathroom has a shower and two sinks.
Both the living room/kitchen and the bedrooms are air-conditioned.
Outside you will find several terraces, making it a pleasure to relax at any time of day. Two terraces are on the same level as the cottage, so no need to use the stairs.
You can use the heated swimming pool (9m x 4.5m), which you only share with the owners. Here too, you will find a nice terrace with sun beds.
You reach Roqueramade via a small tarmac road through the vineyards and olive groves, followed by a somewhat steeper dirt road of 250m.
The cottage is not suitable for children under 16, which is why we only welcome adults. Pets are not allowed.
Minimum stay is 3 nights (arrival possible daily), in high season minimum 7 nights (arrival and departure on Saturday).

We hebben samen enorm genoten van ons verblijf op Roquemarade. De ruime, luxe gite is heel fijn om te verblijven; een heerlijk bed in een koele slaapkamer, de ruimte in de badkamer met ieder je eigen wastafel. De ruime woonkamer met keuken, waar we fijn konden koken en van alle gemakken voorzien. We hebben de zon iedere avond zien ondergaan; de prachtige kleuren in de lucht en daarna de sterren bewonderd. We konden kiezen vanaf welk terras we dat konden aanschouwen. We hebben o.a. Avignon bezocht, ons verwonderd over die kale top van de Mont Ventoux, prachtige wandelingen gemaakt door de Gorges van de rivier. Heerlijk afkoelen door het water en genieten van de mooie natuur. Dat konden we ook bij het zwembad; afkoelen en ontspannen. De gastheren hebben aandacht voor detail en hebben een ontspannen en rustige sfeer gecreëerd. Dankzij hun tips hebben we genoten van de leukste plekjes om te eten en drinken. Het was echt Genieten!
Activities
Discover the beautiful surroundings of Roqueramade, located on the border of the departments of Drôme and Vaucluse. Here you will experience a special harmony between culture and nature. On one side you will find vineyards, olive trees and picturesque medieval villages and on the other side you will find quiet, rugged and unspoilt nature.
Within a few minutes' drive is picturesque Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, where you will find a small supermarket, a bar, two bakers and a butcher.
Stroll through the winding streets of the nearby historic villages and taste local wines amidst the beautiful vineyards.
Visit lively Vaison-la-Romaine with its huge, diverse weekly market and admire the Roman remains. Shop here in a large supermarket or visit one of the many restaurants.
Or visit Nyons, an atmospheric town with numerous eateries and the iconic 'pont Roman'.
Avignon is also within an hour's reach, known for its majestic papal palaces, atmospheric squares and charming alleys and boutiques. And, of course, the famous Pont d'Avignon.
More in search of peace and nature? Near Roqueramade, you can enjoy the rugged beauty of lonely nature. Walk from the house in 10 minutes to the river Toulourenc, with its famous Gorges to wade through.
Or trek through the breathtaking rugged landscapes, where you will find the peace and space to come to yourself and enjoy the silence.
Challenge yourself on a spirited hiking or cycling tour, with the famous Mont Ventoux of course not to be missed for the real sportsman.
