The house
This is a detached holiday home with private pool. The house has 3 bedrooms, a spacious living room with living kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen is brand new (2023) and fully equipped. The house is modernly furnished. For families with children everything is available (cot, high chair, but also toys and games etc) In the living room and in the upper bedroom there is air conditioning. Not in the 2 downstairs bedrooms but they stay pretty cool because of the location.

Our house is located in Mollans-sur-Ouvèze. A beautiful old village where you can also find two bakers, a butcher and a small supermarket. There is also a lovely terrace on the pretty bridge. Mollans is located on the border of the Drome and the Vaucluse. A beautiful area with something for everyone. Vaison la Romaine and Buis les Baronies are a 15-minute drive away. Both towns also have weekly markets. In Vaison you can also do the larger groceries. There are several large supermarkets here (including an Intermarche and a Lidl).

Leuke ligging. Zeer mooi ingericht. Goede bedden. Leuk terras, heerlijk balkon met mooi uitzicht. Zwembad ook prima. Badkamer en toilet mochten iets properder zijn. Bedden mooi opgemaakt bij aankomst.

A truly amazing gite to stay in while we were in Provence. It was everything and more than shown on the listing - absolutely perfect for us a family of 3. From the moment I showed interest in booking through to leaving the house, communication with Judith the host was excellent. The location was perfect for what we wanted, situated in the heart of the amazing Provencal countryside up a tiny road with the most beautiful views to watch the sunset from. The house was spotless on arrival, kitchen well equipped and we loved the outside spaces especially the hammocks with a visiting robin, and the deck that we watched the bats flying from every evening as well as star spotting in the perfectly clear sky above. The local village of Mollans is idylic and provided us with our fresh breakfast every morning. We even joined in with a village celebration, bonfire and fireworks as well while there. We enjoyed local vineyards, the amazing market in Vaison La Romaine, lavender fields, tiny villages, a car ride up Mt Ventoux.....not crazy enough to try it on a bike) and of course enjoyed the spotless pool. To say we have fallen in love with Provence is true, and our gite was part of the magic. Thanks to Judith and her family for sharing this wonderful place. Highly recommend.
Restaurants, food & wine
Provence is obviously the place for foodies and wine lovers. The area is teeming with wineries. Fun to do a tasting or just buy a nice bottle to take home. Good restaurants abound so you can enjoy somewhere different every night if you'd like. But it is also lovely to do some shopping at the market and prepare a nice meal in our fine, fully equipped kitchen while enjoying a glass of wine.
Activities
A few minutes' walk from our house are the Gorges du Toulourenc. Besides taking a very nice walk through this gorge, you can also play in the river with children. Building dams, splashing, catching tadpoles; fun guaranteed. Furthermore, Mont Ventoux is of course nearby. The place to be for cyclists. But even if you're not a cycling fanatic, it's fun to ride up here. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. Both more challenging and just a nice lap on a road bike, e-bike or mountain bike. If you are more in search of some action and culture, Vaison la Romaine is a lovely town, as is Buis les Baronies. Larger cities such as Avignon or Aix-en-Provence are also within easy reach. Looking for an amusement park, climbing park, swimming paradise or something similar? That too can all be found in the area. Information is available in our house.
