L'estrambord

Introduction :
In the heart of the village Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, between Nyons and Vaison-la-Romaine, lies the house "l'Estrambord", which means "great enthusiasm" in Provençal.
This old house has been tastefully converted, a happy blend of authentic and original styles with contemporary comforts. It features original décor, refined lighting and objets d'art.
It has two floors. Its façade is covered with vines and roses. It has a lovely terrace above a small village lane. From the terrace, there is a remarkable view of the little road with no traffic (!) and the old roofs of the village. The terrace leads to a bedroom with a shower room and toilet.
The living room with fireplace is on the ground floor. The room is pleasantly cool in summer.
There is a second bedroom, a bathroom with sunken bath and toilet.
In the immediate vicinity are Roman towns such as Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine (with their summer art festivals) and the spectacular scenery around Mont Ventoux.
A small barbecue is available on request. There is an enclosed area to store your bikes.
A unique house, both charming and comfortable, with art decoration and tastefully furnished without losing the soul of yesteryear.

L'Estambord is located in the heart of the village Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, between Nyons and Vaison-la Romaine in the Baronnies region.
The Baronnies, in the south-west of the Drôme, is the land of aromatic plants. The landscapes are extremely varied, thanks to the sunny climate and good soil conditions. There are deep valleys, vast forests, lavender fields and an extremely rich flora. The region is geologically very interesting because of the confluence of the Pre-Alps, the Rhône valley and the Mediterranean.

Activities:
In the surrounding area, you can enjoy beautiful walks to discover the varied landscape and aromatic plants of the region. There are also plenty of cultural outings on offer, as well as visits to exhibitions, festivities and museums. Here are a few suggestions:

- The lavender museum at Coustellet
- The lavender distillery near Nyons
- Roman remains at Vaison-la-Romaine
- The ancient theatre of Orange
- Various châteaux in Grignan, Suze-la-Rousse and Aulan
- The Pont du Gard near Nîmes
- Beautiful golf courses near Montélimar (18 holes), Clansayes, Orange or Avignon

Information Mirabel-aux-Baronnies
Mirabel-aux-Baronnies has a population of 1,500 and is situated 10 km from Vaison-la-Romaine and 8 km from Nyons. There is a tennis court in the village and a swimming pool 1.5 km from the village, at Camping 'le Sagittaire'. There is also a large swimming pool in Nyons (with lawns and slides) and another in Vaison-la-Romaine. In St-Maurice (8 km) you can go horse-riding.
For trout fishing, you can go to Buis-les-Baronnies (25 km).

Information Maison l'Estrambord
The house can accommodate up to 4 people.
Rental is for a minimum of 1 week, from Saturday to Saturday.
Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
- Sheets, towels and bathroom linen: €10 per person per week (to be confirmed at the time of booking).
- Deposit: €200.00 and compulsory end-of-stay cleaning: €70.00

To park your car at Maison l'Estrambord:
Route de Nyons :
- Just after entering Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, take the road on the left, just after the fountain.
- Follow this road and you will arrive at the square "Place de la Libération".
- Drive as far as possible to park your car, right on the square.
Continue the route on foot. Go downhill. Take the 1st turning on the right. You will see a stone arch across the road. Just after the arch, take the 1st street on the left. You can use the bicycle bell above the door to get to the 1st house (no. 8) on your left.
