The house
Holiday home Villa Agape stands on a large private property, on which chestnut trees provide shade. The modern and Mediterranean-style villa is comfortably and tastefully furnished. Downstairs is a cosy sitting area in front of the fireplace and there is a large dining table for 6 persons and a piano. In the bookcase you will find a large collection of books and there is a satellite TV (with Dutch channels) and a radio-CD-DVD player. Behind the cosy open kitchen, which is equipped with all appliances, you will find the scullery (with storage space, washing machine, fridge and freezer). There are 3 bedrooms in villa Agape, 1 downstairs with bathroom and 2 upstairs with a spacious bathroom with toilet, double washbasin, separate shower and bath. From the bath you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Monts d'Ardèche. There is an extra sofa bed in the main bedroom, for an extra guest if necessary.
From the room and the downstairs bedroom French doors lead to a large, semi-covered terrace, from where you have a magnificent view over the valley of le Drobie and in the evening see the sun set behind the mountains.
The villa has a luxurious large outdoor kitchen, equipped with a fridge, large gas cooker and bbq.
Complete privacy is guaranteed on this quiet and unique spot in the regional nature park of the Monts d' Ardèche.

The sunny villa Agape is situated at an altitude of 600 metres, with truly magnificent panoramic views over the valley of the river le Drobie. There are various fruit trees and chestnut trees on the enclosed grounds. The villa is located in the middle of a protected nature reserve, le parc naturel régional "des Monts d'Ardèche', above a small hamlet called Le Charnier. Privacy and quiet are guaranteed, while the tourist attractions are within reach. There is no light pollution here, resulting in a clear starry sky at night.
The river le Drobie, a tributary of the Ardeche, flows at walking distance. In the crystal clear water you can swim or fish in several places.

Zeer mooie villa waar rust primeert,alles wat de foto 's op de site laten zien is waar ruime en prachtige villa. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door James Keer hier zeker nog eens terug, hebben op de 14 dagen dat we er geweest zijn nog lang niet alle pracht van de streek kunnen zien .Zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar rust en kalmte

Wat een mooi huis op een pracht plek. Een formidabele buitenkeuken. Mooie plek onder de boom voor ontbijt, lunch en diner. Alle luxe aanwezig. Mooi uitzicht. Aanrader!

Ultieme rust en stilte met heel veel privacy in een schitterende omgeving en een sfeervol, goed uitgerust luxueus huis voorzien van àlle gemak. Zelden een zo smaakvol ingericht huis gezien! De fraaie tuin, terrassen, fantastische buitenkeuken en het grote zwembad met ligstoelen, maken dat je je heerlijk kunt ontspannen en tot rust kan komen.Op ieder moment van de dag is er terras in de zon en in de schaduw met mooie stoelen en kwalitatieve kussens. Een droom van een buitenkeuken vervolledigt het geheel.
Gelegen op 600 m hoogte, midden in de natuur. Veel rust en privacy met een prachtig weids en ver uitzicht. Wandelen of fietsen vanaf het huis met heerlijk zwembad met jetstream. Een verrukkelijke, unieke vakantieplek om tot rust te komen. De rit is de moeite meer dan waard!!! Het is back to basic omdat de winkels op 30min liggen maar je ontvlucht werkelijk het drukke toerisme en dat geeft je meer dan ooit het gevoel van te leven als god in Frankrijk bovenop je eigen berg! Werkelijk een klein stukje paradijs op aarde...
Restaurants, food & wine
Cosy restaurants with local dishes on the menu can be found in the vicinity, such as Dompnac and in Saint Melany. There is a wine cave in Rosière, where you can taste the delicious local wine rosé gris. Almost every day there is a market in one of the surrounding medieval villages, such as Joyeuse or Les Vans.

Activities
Directly from the villa, you can make beautiful walks, for example, to the river le Drobie and you can walk an art route, le Sentier des Lauzes. In the river le Drobie, a tributary of the Ardèche, you can fish and swim. Canoe trips can be made on the rivers Ardèche and Chassezac. There is a riding school nearby.
In Joyeuse, there is the museum de la Chataigneraie and Largentière and Les Vans are nice authentic towns. Balazuc is one of the 100 most beautiful places of France and definitely worth a visit.
In the winter you can ski in a small ski area, about an hour's drive from the villa, from mid-December to mid-March.

Further remarks
Villa Agape is situated on a large private property in a protected nature reserve and is renowned for its views. The villa has a (heated) private swimming pool. The warm pool water is especially nice in spring or autumn. Around the pool is a large terrace with several lounge chairs. You can often already enjoy the sun on the terrace in March.
By the way, did you know that in autumn edible mushrooms can be found on the property?
