The house
We are Mike and Rosette and we have been living, working and enjoying for many years in the beautiful green heart of the Ardèche.
With a lot of effort but especially Love for the house, we have created a space where it is wonderful to stay and where "slowing down" is a natural given.
Since sitting still is not in our blood, since 2010 we have set up a Blueberry Plantation (from soil to plant) at 1100 m altitude between St. Jeure and St. Agreve, where we work with heart and soul, which is not a punishment at all since we are in and with nature.
We are delighted with the result of our tastefully renovated Gite on "Vialette". With a beautiful and especially unobstructed view of the hills.
As a couple, we already have extensive experience of renting out Gites in both the Netherlands and France, so it was a logical choice for us to start renting out our Gite in 2022.
We feel blessed every day to live in this pure and amazingly beautiful environment, we have tried to give an impression through photos, but the real experience can only be experienced when you are "Live" surrounded by this nature and can feel the inspiring energy. The Green Heart of our Ardeche beats with a lot of passion and Love !
Our Gite is rented to adults seeking peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful pure nature.
The Gite is entirely on the ground floor and very spacious.
The cosy living room including kitchenette and wood stove has a surface area of about 45m2.
A separate bedroom of 12m2 furnished with 2 single box spring beds (each 2.00 x 0.90 mtr ), a bathroom with toilet and lovely walk-in shower. The kitchenette is equipped with a 4-burner hob, fridge with freezer, coffee maker / Senseo. ( coffee is present on arrival ) , kettle ( tea stock available ) and small combi-oven. Furthermore, the crockery is very extensive as are several different pans. Basic spices are also on the shelf.
* The beds are made upon arrival and for stays of 2 weeks they are changed once.
Since we are fairly French and only have French TV, ( good also for the language ), we have an Android TV in the Gite placed directly connected to NETFLIX & NPO-plus
* WIFI is available and works very well.
* Mobile phone calls are still sometimes difficult from the Gite. We have a landline and call the Netherlands via WhatsApp which goes super well
The Gite has its own entrance at the back and a lovely large private terrace facing south. Enjoy the sun setting every evening. You also have access to the entire back yard so there are several places to stay, especially important when it gets really hot. The terrace has a very large authentic wooden table and comfortable chairs. 2 deckchairs are also available.
Your dog has plenty of freedom as the entire property is fenced.
Prices in high season ( July and August ) : € 600,-- per week
Prices in the low season (April to June and September) € 550,-- per week

In the green hills of the sunny Ardeche, known for her breathtaking nature, close to Lamastre & desaignes lies the picturesque village Labatie d'Andaure situated in the "Portes du Parc Naturel Regional des Monts d'Ardeche". At 1 km walking distance lies the beautiful river the Doux where you can enjoy a nice "Plan d'eau. ( July-August)

Wat is dit een prachtige plek! Het uitzicht is fenomenaal en Rosette en Mike geven je meteen het gevoel thuis te komen. Daar doen ze alles voor, echt geweldig. Een plek om terug te komen en mensen die je weer wilt ontmoeten. Toen het koud werd, kregen we hout voor de haard, waardoor het in mum van tijd behaaglijk werd. Elke ochtend een nieuwe dia van het uitzicht op de bergen. Een fantastisch vegan restaurant in de buurt, wel een Michelinster waardig. Mooie ritten in de omgeving gemaakt, Mont Mezenc, Cascade de la Beaume., La Passerelle des Gorges du Lignon (hangbrug). Aanrader deze plek en omgeving!

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Gite Vialette. Rosette en Mike zijn erg gastvrij. De blauwe bessen zijn héérlijk. We hebben iedere dag een fietstocht gemaakt vanuit de Gîte. Weinig verkeer onderweg en genoten van de rust bij de Gîte. De laatste avond heerlijk (vegan) gegeten op het terras van de koppige ezel (L’Âne Têtu) in Desaigne. De rust en de mooie omgeving zijn fantastisch.. Gite is mooi ingericht.

We waren voor de 3e x in deze regio, maar dit was de meest heerlijke plek om te vertoeven. Rosette en Mike weten warme gastvrijheid met een hele mooie ingerichte gite te combineren, om je helemaal het ´thuis´ gevoel te geven. Onze hond had zelfs heimwee na vertrek. Wij ook trouwens! We kijken terug op een heerlijke week Noord Ardeche met een bijzondere warme ontmoeting met gastvrouw- en heer. Dank jullie wel voor deze ervaring!

* Several Domaines in and around Tain l'Hermitage with their exclusive Hermitage wines.
* Also in Tain l'Hermitage for the chocolate lovers it is absolutely worth to visit : Cite du Choculat
* Desaignes ( 4 km ) : This medieval town has several nice restaurants/ bakery/ small supermarket/ take away pizzeria.
* Valence (45 km): Beautiful southern French city very worthwhile.

*Labation d'Andaure has a fantastic Plan d'eau (natural swimming water) in the months of July and August: approx. 1 km away (from the Gite also accessible via a beautiful walking route). Swimming / Picnic areas, Toilet Building present.
* Plan d'eau de Desaignes (4 km).
* Lac de Devesset ( 20 km ) : Swimming, surfing, sailing, pedal boats, catering facility, beautiful hiking trails around the lake.
* Centre Equestre Desaignes : Balades et Randonnees on horseback.

* Trout fishing pond "La truite d'Andaure ( 1 km )
* Steam locomotive Station Lamastre "Train de Ardèche " super nice trip through the valley du Doux with as stop "Tournon sur Rhône, also a nice place to visit ( the train will also bring you back to the starting point Lamastre

St. Agreve : Carrefour with petrol station, launderette, pharmacy, bakery, shops, bars, restaurants, terraces, etc.
Chambon sur Lignon : Intermarche ( also a petrol station ), Pharmacy etc
Desaignes: small supermarket, bakery, cafes, restaurants, take-away pizza
NB: In high season it is advisable to make reservations at the Restaurants, it is no problem for us to make a telephone reservation for you as a tenant.

Further remarks
Since 2010, we have a professional blueberry plantation at an altitude of 1100 m (between st. Jeure and st. Agreve) and are especially in the months of July and August busy with this beautiful and honest fruit. And are therefore only the end of the day against the evening on our home front.
The Gite is attached to our house, but for you as a guest this has little influence, also because the Gite has its own entrance at the back, with a very spacious private area where your dog can happily run around because the whole area is fenced.
If you would like to taste our berries, this can certainly be arranged (even a look at our plantation is possible).
