Located at the end of a cul-de-sac along an old hamlet, gîte La Rouvière is a single-storey house. It consists of a living room with a sitting area by the built-in fireplace and a television lounge. A large sliding window opens onto a terrace that gives access to the large sun terrace by the pool (1.50 m deep). with the view.
The fully equipped kitchen enjoys a covered terrace for your meals outside. The bedroom "Forêt" (forest) contains a double bed, and the bedroom "Jardin" (garden) contains a double bed that can also be converted into two single beds on request. The bathroom contains a spacious shower, a built-in sink and a washing machine. Private parking in front of the house.

Between the Alps, the Méditerranée and the Rhône Valley, in the south of the beautiful department of Ardèche, the gîte La Rouvière is located in a nature reserve of the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche. Outside the characterful village of Chassiers, a 10-minute drive from the medieval town of Largentière, you will drive past a charming hamlet of a few stone houses, on a dead-end road to meet Gîte La Rouvière. You will find peace and nature here. Gîte La Rouvière faces the views of the hills and nature to the horizon.

At three 3 km you will find a cosy and delicious restaurant but also in the whole area there are several good addresses that I can recommend, even with a Michelin star. In the picturesque town of Largentière, a 10-minute drive away, you will find a large typical market every Tuesday morning where you can buy local products but also a supermarket, a pharmacy, shops, bakery, butcher, greengrocer and wine cellars with wines from the region.
Activities
You can reach from the Gîte La Rouvière in the Ardèche, beautiful hiking and mountain bike trails and cycling routes. A 15-minute - 20-minute drive away, you will find clear rivers with swimming holes such as the La Beaume and Ardeche rivers. You can rent a canoe to paddle down the Ardeche river, a 45-minute drive away and near the famous visit the cave of Chauvet 2 which is a Unesco World Heritage Site, at Vallon pont d'arc. At the cosy and typical southern French market in the medieval village of Largentiere, you will find local products but also cafés and restaurants.... Visit castles and picturesque villages, discover wine cellars and wine tasting, canoeing, canyoning, mountain climbing, but also museums and festivals you will find to entertain you during your holidays in South Ardeche.
