The house
The gîte 'la Montagne' is a holiday flat for up to 7 people. This super long flat of approx. 20 metres covers the entire top floor. Here too, there is a living room with an open kitchen and a 2-person clic-clac and a trundle bed. One of the two bedrooms has a double bed and the other has two single beds. So everyone has their own spot. Adjacent to the living room is the shower with toilet.
In the large, green garden is a swimming pool of 7.5 x 3.5 metres and a bath for the little ones. There are also several picnic tables and seating areas.

In the beautiful, undulating French farmland of the Allier region, you will find surprising views and authentic French scenes at every turn. We go shopping in the picturesque village of Bourbon l'Archambault, just 11 km away. Or quickly to the boulangerie in Ygrande for a pain or a croissant at 6 km.

Activities
The Allier is a wonderful area for walking, cycling and water sports. There is something for everyone: sporty mountain biking/cycling or a quiet bicycle ride. Long-distance walking or a walk in the countryside and along the lake. Swimming in a small lake nearby, in our swimming pool or in the river Allier where you can also canoe. You can fish in the large lake next to our house. Looking for history, culture, a cave where you can taste delicious French wines or a cheese farm? Old towns with brocantes, churches, castles and nice terraces. The cities of Clermont-Ferrand, Vichy and Bourges are to be found at approx. 1 hour driving distance. Closer by are the smaller but nice cities of Moulins-sur-Allier and Montluçon.
In the vicinity are also two amusement parks to find namely Vulcania for the larger and Le Pal for the smaller, combined with a zoo.
