The house
We offer you the hospitality of a part of our house: our gîte, a jewel with a soul of its own... in tranquility, open space and vast countryside.
Our gîte has got two bedrooms for a maximum of four persons. One bedroom has got a double bed measuring 180 by 200 cms, the other has got a bunk bed measuring 90 by 200 cms. Each bedroom has got its own sink. The kitchen offers everything a keen cook could wish for. A microwave, an oven, a dishwasher and a large sink for the traditional 'doing the dishes'. There is a television screen with a dvd player (films are available), and a radio / cd player. There is a dining table, a sitting area, a spacious walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Outside there is a private patio with a table, chairs, a parasol and sun loungers. You can enjoy our swimming pool, sun loungers, relax and play in our spacious garden, take a nap or read in our hammocks...
In July and August the gîte can be booked by the week from Friday to Friday (in an effort to escape the Saturday traffic jams...).
In the low season it can be booked for a (long) weekend or midweek stay.
We welcome families without children of with children OLDER THAN SEVEN.

The gite is part of our house, with separate entrance and privacy. Luxurious quiet, and abundance of nature.
The Allier is a green and mildly undulating area, as yet unspoiled by mass tourism, and is therefore much appreciated by lovers of the countryside and its peace, and yet, sportsmen such as cyclists, hikers, mountain bikers and golfers are catered for as well. Fort the watersports fanatics there are fascinating canoe trips on the quiet Allier river or the slightly wilder Sioule river. There are swimming facilities in the many lakes, and in the spas of Vichy, Nérie-les-Bains and Bourbon l'Archambault, you can enjoy the beneficial effects of the mineral water wells.
The 'Forêt de Tronçais', the largest and most beautiful oak forest in Europe with its abundance of game, is well worth a visit, and so are the picturesque towns of Vichy, Montluçon, Charroux, Souvigny en Hérisson

Wat een fantastische plek! ALLES klopt. Prachtige gite. Fijne bedden. Heerlijk zwembad. Mooie tuin. Super mooi uitzicht. Fijn plekje om te zitten om te schuilen voor zon of regen.
Mooie omgeving om te wandelen of fietsen. Veel leuke activiteiten en stadjes op een half uurtje rijden afstand.

Op weg naar de Cantal om er aan parapente te doen, is dit werkelijk een ideale tussenstop. Deze opgeknapte hoeve 'in the middle of nowhere' is een oase van rust en je tafelt er ook nog eens verdomd lekker. Duizendpoot Rein is een keukenprinses. En 's anderendaags uitgerust de baan weer op.

We genoten van een heerlijke vakantie op deze mooie plek! In de gîte is het aangenaam toeven: smaakvol ingericht, comfortabel en heel netjes. Buiten is het genieten van de rust, de natuur en het zwembad. Rein en Ben hebben ons hartelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. Fijn om hen te ontmoeten!
