The house
Private, refurbished, self-contained Gite with fully fitted kitchen/dining area, leading to a relaxing sitting room with comfortable sofa, coffee table and 2 armchairs. French windows lead to a south facing outdoor swimming pool for sole use by the gite which is open between May & September and the size is approximately 12m x 5m (radiused sides) and a constant 1.4m deep. The adjacent terraced area is equipped with an electric awning, parasols & BBQ all within an enclosed, fenced mature garden. An internal staircase leads to 3 double bedrooms,a family bathroom with a large walk-in shower with WC, wash-hand basin and towel rail. There is also a separate room with WC with wash-hand basin.

Our gite is situated off the D600 in the village of Marnaves, close to the railway station at Vindrac and 9 km's from Cordes-sur-Ciel and within approximately a 30 minute drive of St Antonin Noble Val, Najac, Albi and Gaillac. The gite has a separate gated driveway with ample parking and external lighting.

We had such a wonderful, relaxing week at Fon de Greze. The house is lovely and so complete, you feel at home straight away. All the attention to detail and the little extra's really make a difference. The beautiful garden with the large pool is simply amazing, the kids really had the best time, especially after we discovered the special 'disco light' that can float (which called for an evening swimming party! :-)
The area is beautiful and the Gaillac wines are excellent, they've been making wine here since the Roman times. Cordes sur Ciel is just a 10 minute drive away and the climb up the hill is more than worth it. We'll have to come back when it's a bit less hot so we can visit all the other beautifull villages.
Last but not least, Angela and Simon are the kindest hosts, very discrete but always around when you need anything. We can highly recommend this place to everyone, and we'll make sure to visit again sometime!

Had a lovely week in this gite. The swimmingpool is perfect, the house has all you can think of, very nice hosts and an interesting environment with Albi and all the other old villages in the area. Felt so welcome with drinks and food already in the fridge and on the table.

Voor de 2e keer waren wij op vakantie in Fon de Greze. En ook ditmaal hebben wij hier een hele fijne vakantie gehad. In het huis ontbreekt het aan niets, en het zwembad is een heerlijke verkoeling op warme dagen. De omgeving verveelt nooit, wij hebben verschillende fietstochten gemaakt. (voor de geoefende fietser). Ik kan dit vakantiehuis aanbevelen aan een ieder die van rust, natuur, en mooie dorpjes houdt.
Restaurants, food & wine
There is a market in Cordes on a Saturday morning which has a wealth of local produce and at St Antonin Noble Val on a Sunday morning with a larger selection of stallholders set up in the delightful cobbled streets. The local restaurants provide a range of cuisine for all tastes and budgets and the area offers a vast selection of wine tastings.
Activities
Ideally located in the Tarn region of France within easy reach of Cordes-sur-Ciel, St Antonin Noble Val, Albi, Najac and Gaillac. There are golf courses near by, weekly markets, wine tastings, fetes and medieval bastides to explore as well as a selection of restaurants within easy reach. A fishing licence is required in the Tarn department which is advisable to arrange for your holiday duration. Further local information will be available in the gite.

Further remarks
There is a selection of indoor and outdoor games including badminton, la boule, Molkky set, table tennis and a croquet set (on request). Dutch, English and French books are all available in the gite along with information about the surrounding area.

LOCAL TAX DE SEJOURS (Tourist Tax): This is now automatically calculated at the time of an accepted booking and included in the overall rental price. The tax is charged per Adult ( 18 + ) per night direct to the tenant and paid to the relevant authority by the Gites company. You do not need to do anything further for this after your booking is accepted.
