La propriété
This beautiful gite offers extremely comfortable accommodation of a high standard. The cottage is part of a typical old farmhouse from Gascony, which was a working farm until a few years ago. It is located in the small hamlet of Teoules, about three kilometers from most of our municipality, Bourran. Teoules nestles in the lower parts of the hills that run along the Lot valley. In all directions you look out on hill slopes with sunflowers, corn and cornfields. Bourran is just over a kilometer from the River Lot, close to the attractive and medieval village of Clairac.
Parts of the cottage are sometimes 400/500 years old and have been modernized to a high standard while retaining the character and the offers:
-a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom
-Large living room with dining area and beautiful old brick fireplace from Toulouse with wood burning stove
-pleasant farmhouse kitchen fully equipped with oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, etc.
-beautiful private garden shaded outdoor dining gas grill
-full private swimming pool (6 meter diameter) for your use only
-heated Jacuzi for two people
-Sauna cabin in Swedish style

In the municipality of Bourran is the hamlet of Teoules. There lies the formerly converted "Longere" where next to the main house and the large barn a Gite with its own swimming pool has been erected.
The atmosphere is very authentic with lots of privacy and a view of the private round swimming pool and the poplar plantation. the entire plot is over 11,000 m2.

France in the Lot and Garonne is an abundance of beautiful places, restaurants and ample opportunities to taste local wines.
Les activités
The Lot-et-Garonne is located immediately south of the Dordogne, apx. ninety minutes from the Atlantic coast and just over two hours from the Spanish border.
Because it transports two of France's most important rivers, Le Lot and La Garonne, the landscape is beautifully green and incredibly varied. Wide, fertile valleys wind along picturesque hills and the two rivers meet in Aiguillon.
The economy of the Lot-et-Garonne is highly dependent on agriculture, with tourism that is still relatively in its infancy. As a result, the roads are very quiet and, unlike the Dordogne and Provence, few places are full, even in the summer.
You will grow in abundance, vines, corn, all kinds of fruit, fields of sunflowers, vegetables and many types of trees. This is also the center of the French pruning industry. Agen plums are world famous! Of course, wild life comes with agriculture; you will find many birds of prey here (look out for beautiful black kites that ride on top of the thermal).
Our summers are considerably warmer and sunnier than further north, with long arranged spells. Rain is usually not a problem, because when it comes it is usually very heavy and short-lived.
In June 2004, the famous English chef Rick Stein visited the area to film the cooking series 'A French Odyssey'. The series followed Rick on a journey along the Canal des deux Mers from Bordeaux to the Mediterranean and was broadcast by the BBC in September 2005.
The Lot-et-Garonne is France as most people imagine France. Warm, green, colorful, picturesque, historic and very peaceful. With just 305,000 people in a department of nearly 6,000 km2, the Lot-et-Garonne has one of the lowest population densities in all of France. It also has some of the best wines, the most beautiful landscapes and the most beautiful and friendly people - as you will see on the following pages:
