Restaurants, food & wine
The local restaurant is an easy 5 minute walk, in Le Moustier. Serving traditional French food. Plenty of other very good restaurants can be found in Les Eyzies, St Leon sur Vezere, Montignac and Rouffignac. We will be able to give you a list of the best, tried and tested by us and by our guests.
The nearest wine region is Bergerac but Bordeaux and the Duras are not far away and offer some great wines.
Activities
There are plenty of activities in the area. Walking, cycling, bird watching, canoeing, horse riding are all favourites. The Vezere Valley is famous for pre-history. Directly opposite our property is La Roque Saint Christophe, a caveman dwelling going back thousands of years. A 10 minute drive takes to you Montignac, a lovely typical French market town, which has a market on Wednesday and Saturday. You will also find Lascaux 4, an amazing reproduction of the original caves found 70 years ago by a group of children. In Rouffignac is another cave, Grotte de Rouffignac, which is totally original and has carvings, etchings, 17th century graffiti and some paintings.

Nicolas from France,
Très calme et reposant. Location avec tout confort
Lucie from France,
Bref, on recommande
