The house
The entrance leads into the Kitchen - Dining area with a log fire for the winter months and a sofa which can be used as a sofabed. Small Dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, coffee machine and kettle. All cutlery, utensils, saucepans, plates, cups etc., toaster, microwave. This then leads to the bathroom with enclosed shower, toilet, washbasin and washing machine. All towels are supplied. The staircase then leads to the first floor bedroom with twin singles which provides a large king size bed and 2 or 3 singles can be supplied. There are options to add a further childs bed or travel cots at no extra cost. All linen and duvets are provided. Please message what your requirements will be. Thank you

The Jones Gite Cottage is situated in the heart of the Berry Region, Indre Department very quiet and tranquil. Normally all our guests sleep extremely well and after three days all those worries are left behind. There is an outdoor area under a pergola for eating or barbecue and sun loungers, swimming pool for those who want a dip. There are certain months with a little farming activity around harvest time but generally most farmers have to finish around 10pm.
There are plenty of Randonnees and forests to walk, or you can relax by the small lake, fishing is allowed only three rods maximum, the lake is stocked with carp, mirror carp, grass carp and common carp, certain times of the year we do ask you not to fish due to the new babies being born and all fish caught have to be put back gently into the water not thrown and not kept in buckets by the lakeside, this is in order to keep the lake stocked and well managed. For those who would like a little more or group gatherings we do have another building with eating indoors which can seat up to 15 people or just to socialize.

Hele fijne dagen gehad in Les Jones Gite, het is schoon, de bedden zijn opgemaakt bij aankomst en slapen zeer goed, er zijn voldoende handdoeken, theedoeken en keukenbenodigdheden, de tuin is prachtig, heel veel ruimte om te genieten van het prachtige landschap. Er is een zwembad voor de kinderen en een vijver om in te vissen of kikkers te bestuderen.
Elizabeth en Trevor zijn heel gastvrije en vriendelijke mensen die je graag helpen. Kortom een hele ontspannende en gezellige tijd gehad. Wij gaan er zeker terug komen!Comment from Elizabeth Jones

Restaurants, food & wine
There are a couple of local restaurants and cafes nearby some very basic and one I can recommend which is about a 30 minute drive but well worth it. Prices vary from 15 euros to 45 euros per person. I also provide menus for you to choose from all home cooked and fresh from Pizzas, Burgers or menus with a main course and dessert or entree and main course, prices are from 6.50 euros to 25 euros per person.
Activities
In the heart of the countryside rambling walks or just relax by the small lake and try your hand at a spot of fishing. Other activities are around 20 minutes to 60 minutes drive, Go-Karting, lac de sidiailles, wolf park, maze park, lac d'eguzon, oradour-sur-glane. Beautiful forests and local markets all within 5km - 8km, local brocantes, villages fetes, music.
